Did you mean:

Charge 6 is not tracking my floors

ANSWERED

I recently upgraded from a Charge 4 to a Charge 6. However, the Charge 6 is recording Zero floors climbed - the Charge 4 routinely reported 7 - 20+ per day, but the Charge 6 says Zero - every day!

Is there a setting that enables/disable the Floors function? Or is it likely that the Charge 6 is defective?

Accepted Solutions

Charge 6 does not measure floors climbed.  It does not have the required hardware altimeter so could not be added even with firmware update.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

You're not alone in feeling disappointed @pathopeter. See this other thread (and others) on the same topic of concern: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-6/Will-the-Charge-6-track-floors/td-p/5458414

Thanks for making your voice heard on this!

Worse than sad…inexcusable. Older, cheaper versions of the Fitbit have an altimeter function and the app has a heading for the data. The decision to cut the feature is a middle finger to customers who trusted the company to deliver upgrades in a fair minded way.

I wish I'd known that the Charge 6 did not count floors.  I wouldn't have bought it!!!!!!

That sucks - when you upgrade you expect better than previous versions not less!!!! It doesn’t count floors and it also doesn’t show the weather either! NOT HAPPY WITH GOOGLE AND EHAT THEY’VE DONE WITH FITBIT since they bought it

I HATE the Google experience with FitBit. No counting stairs climbed. Forced me to use a gmail account in order for me to access the data on my device - would not have upgraded had I known Can no longer access data on the website, only the app. In most situations I avoid using ANY Google appa/environments. Google simply does not play well with others, especially their customers!!!

That sucks, why leave the header.
I recently upgraded Charge 4 to Charge 6 and have been initially quite impressed.
I had nothing but trouble with charge 4, replaced twice by Fitbit.
Removing the altimeter is a backwards step poor show Fitbit.

Agreed.  They could have included that information if they were ethical about it

If I’d known this functionality had been omitted from this device I would not have bought it.

Google being ethical. How I do love your sense of humour 😂

OK, then how do I get FLOORS to register?  Is my Charge 6 just not going to ever register FLOORS!

Hello @sharondipity

The Charge 6 doesn't have an altimeter which is needed to track floors. So, you won't see floor tracking.
