My Fitbit Charge 6, within the last 7 days, stopped tracking p.m. (evening) sleep or the first part of the night, and still tracks at least to some degree a.m. (morning) sleep. So I get half measured, and of course told I need to get better sleep cause I'm only "sleeping 3 hours a night." I've tried everything including a recent very helpful suggestion from a user (not Fitbit or Google of course, can't get in contact with any human there), to de-install the entire app on the phone and re-install. Sadly that didn't work either. I think there must have been some software update in the last 7 days; how else would the tracker track in the a.m. but not the p.m.? I don't see how that could be a hardware problem. If anyone has a solution that worked for them, please follow up. Thanks!
Same problem for me. It worked great until recently. Any news?
Best AnswerYes. Last night it just started tracking right again. I didn't do anything. I'm continuing to monitor and see if the problem resolved. But unfortunately I can't tell you what fixed it, or seemed to anyway.
Best AnswerMy Charge 6 is still tracking sleep good, a few days in. Seems like the problem is resolved. It was problem a software bug that got silently patched, but the steps I took were: Restart phone, and tracker; unpair, re-pair tracker with phone; finally I deleted the Fitbit app from the phone, reinstalled it, re-paired it with the tracker. A few days later the issue resolved.
Seems you're right. Worse quality and no one cares. Not only is sleep data missing, activity data isn't being recorded regularly and my Charge 6 is randomly not recording steps (any steps for specific dates though I can see the steps during the day then the data disappears). What's going on?? Never used to have these issues!!!
SOLUTION! I got a Fitbit charge 6 for Christmas and ever since I switched it from my old Fitbit, I could not get any sleep data. I had already confirmed I was adhering to all the conventional solutions such as wearing it snugly, making sure sleep tracking was enabled (mine is set to sensitive), etc. Here's how I fixed it: 1. Uninstall Fitbit app. 2. Restart phone. 3. Install Fitbit app. 4. Restart Fitbit. 5. Sync data. Even if it's not showing up on your app, the sleep data has probably been recorded on your device and is just waiting to be accessed. That turned out to be the case with mine. Once I followed these steps, I checked my sleep data, and it was suddenly available on the newly installed app. Hope this helps someone.
