I searched how to turn notifications off, but I don't have them turned on in the first place. How do I stop getting texts & news alerts when I've had them turned off since day one? All I want is steps & mileage counts, not another social media device. I'm 67. I have a phone for texting & news.
Thanks in advance.

@MAmom if you'd already set to "off" for notifications in the Fitbit app settings it shouldn't send you any notifications. Also try checking the settings of the app itself. Under your phone's App Info, turn notifications off to the Fitbit app from there.

Hi @MAmom and @KatherineNY, Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
Let me help you manage the notifications on your Cjharge 6. Thanks for the tip @KatherineNY
When you setup the notifications service, this is automatically turned on. To turn notifications off, swipe down from the clock face of your Charge 6 to access quick settings. Turn on DND mode, or Sleep mode to turn notifications off. Make sure both settings are turned off to receive notifications.
Happy 2025!

Is there a way to have notifications automatically silenced when my phone is set to DND? I was woken up by a text buzz early this AM on my Fitbit. My phone was sleeping. I can't find a setting to silence notifications from, say, midnight to 10am. I don't want to silence them 100% of the time and I don't want to need to remember to turn my watch to DND and sleep mode every single night. That's preposterous.

Hello @Aelita
Probably the best way to manage your notifications is to set up a sleep mode schedule from midnight to 10am. If you wake up earlier than 10am, you can turn sleep mode off on your Charge 6 by scrolling up from the clock face and tapping on Sleep mode.
Here are the instructions on how to set up a sleep mode schedule for the Charge 6 (<-- click link). Scroll to the Quiet Modes section.
Edited to update link to the appropriate help page.

I have the same problem with my new Charge 6, and had it with Charge 5 too. How do I stop it from happening?

Thank you for the knowledge that there is a setting for sleep mode. It wasn't obvious what it was in settings, but I've found a way to sleep as late as I want. Your link doesn't go there, however. 😂

Hello @Aelita
Thanks for letting me know that I had the wrong link.
I've edited my reply to include the correct link for anyone else who needs the instructions for Sleep Mode.

I had this issue too. I hate all my devices constantly talking to each other! Maybe I’m getting old. I just want to be less connected.
If you have an iPhone, go to Settings, click on Bluetooth and click on the charge 6. Untoggle the button for “share system notifications” and now you won’t hear any of that mess.

I want to turn off the notifications from my phone - like texts, email, news, etc. but I still want the actual fitbit notifications. Is there a way to do this?

@Eileenonme in your Fitbit app settings, push notifications, enabled/disable the ones you want.

Hello @Eileenonme
This help page has the steps to setup notifications from your phone to your Fitbit (<-- click link). You can follow the steps to turn off the default notifications and check that none of your phone apps are setup to send notifications to your Charge 6.
The Fitbit notifications are managed from the Fitbit settings in the app:
You might want to also check the Email notifications list to make sure that the ones you want are turned on.
