Lost Charge 6 keeps logging steps

My wife had a brand new Charge 6. The band kept on coming unattached. She lost it walking at a fish hatchery in the next town. Her Fitbit app keeps showing that it's logging hours. Would someone please explain this to me? Does it have to be in range of her phone to update the app? Could the app show steps if someone else is using the Fitbit?

It hasn't synced since she lost it, but her app is showing that it is continuing to log steps daily.

Hi @Dissonance7  how odd. The Fitbit needs to be within range in order to see additional steps show up on the app, which means it would be syncing. Unless your wife is using the phone as a mobile device and it's registering the steps taken that way.
