I've installedthe Game Golf app and updated to the second rev. When I select my course, it either does nothing, exits the app or resets my ionic. Any suggestions?

Hey there @GPCasey! I'm glad to hear that you've been able to sync your courses.
If your GG app stops working at some point, I'd like to remind you that when you transfer courses to the watch you need:
1) Good Bluetooth connection.
2) GG watch app is open while transferring course from Fitbit App.
3) GG watch app & Fitbit mobile app don't have any pending updates.
The latest version for the Fitbit app on Android and iOS is currently 2.76. So, please double check that your app is already up-to-date.
Stay cool!

Experienced the same thing as @GPCasey. I didn't time it, but after about 5 minutes, the app closes on the fitbit ionic watch. Have to restart the app on the watch and 'resume' the round. I too am using an android 8.0 phone, so this is a step in the right direction from when you couldn't even download a course. Now it's just frustrating when you're on the course and every 5 minutes the app closes/crashes or whatever it's really doing.

@GPCasey Thanks for your reply and for sharing those details regarding the experience you are having with the Game Golf app.
Is this only happening with an specific course or is it happening to all of the courses you have downloaded? Are all of the courses you playing of 18 holes?
@D_a_v_e_B_ Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting that you are also experiencing the same situation with the courses.
Is this happening with a course in particular? How many holes is it?
Keep me posted! ![]()
Best Answer@SantiR I have used it once since the download course issue. So, 1 out of 1 courses. 18 holes.
Prior to the download course issue, I used the app successfully without this issue. Stayed alive for the round.
Best AnswerYes.Android version 8.0

Thanks for getting back and sharing those details @D_a_v_e_B_ and @GPCasey! I totally understand where your concerns are coming from. Let's try one last thing:
After doing this, please test one more time your GG and see how it goes! ![]()

Best AnswerUpdate: After doing some logging in/out/resetting of the app, it works much better. Still closes every now and then, but that isn't a real bothersome.

Best AnswerI installed the app, loaded the courses successfully. The 9 hole courses work fine, but when I start the round for 18 hole courses, the app crashes. It just closes. I use Samsung Note 8. Both the phone app as well as the fitbit app are the latest. I have already tried all the potentials fixes recommended in the previous posts. So please do not ask me to turn the tracker or the phone on and off, uninstall and reinstall the app, disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth, etc...
Thank You,
Shakib
Best AnswerGPCasey,
I should have gone through these posts prior purchasing the Fitbit Ionic. The sole purpose was to use the Game Golf app. I have Game Golf Live and I thought Fitbit Ionic will be the perfect GPS range finder. After going through these threads, it looks like Fitbit/Game Golf doesn't have a fix for it. The only recommendation from these "script reading" techs are to restart the phone and the tracker, uninstall/reinstall the app, disable/enable bluetooth, etc. That's probably why Fitbit is losing customers. They need to step up and improve their services.
Regards,
Shakib
Best AnswerI have Game Golf version 1.06 for iOS (released November 28th). The app crashes every time I try to start a round. It was working before this update. From comments on this and other threads I don't get the impression that either the Game Golf folks nor the FitBit folks really care about this issue. I will try Golf GPS to see if I have better luck.
That wasn’t the point.....I was just stating the iOS app doesn’t work either. Will be happy to start a new thread if it makes you feel better.
