Game Golf experience

The Microsoft Band 2 had a great app that used the accelerometer and GPS along with Course maps to give you current yards to hole, tracked your swings and such, any news if there will be a golf app for the fitbit Ionic?

The app has a stats screen at the end of the round for avg heart rate, total steps during the round, the total time played and the number of holes played.

@CarlDoyle83 It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community! That's strange. Try restarting your Ionic. If that doesn't do the trick try uninstalling the app and then re install.

The good thing about this is that you can contact the developer of the app in case you would like to provide some feedback or ask for future additions for the app. To do this, open their app in the Fitbit App Gallery and you’ll find their contact details under ‘app details’. @Barndad It looks like this:

I have it. I am excited to see the progress.

The only post that talked about being on on the course, said the app closed
on him.

Was just wondering if someone had been out and had it working (in action on
a course) as of yet.

@SantiR tried all of the recommendations. other courses work in my area. just not the course where I'm a member? also it won' connect to GPS?? or is that my error?

Just successfully completed 18 holes using the Ionic GameGolf app as my distance device. Also had my Garmin Golf watch to compare.

Distance measurements were more or less in sync between the two watches. At one point a sprinkler had 280 to the center of the hole, the Ionic also had 280 and the Garmin had 287 so that was interesting.

Around the 11th hole the Ionic somehow reset to the watch face and I had to restart the  app. To its credit it continued from the previous point with the same round. 

The only negative is you do have to manually advance the Ionic to each new hole by pressing the next hole button, no auto-advance like most apps and watches.

I will be using the ionic and leave the Garmin at home, and only wear one watch, for my next round of golf.

The Game Golf app is out now. I've loaded it on my Ionic, but I can't get it to work.You can only load 3 courses at a time and it has trouble finding some. I still like the Ionic, but this is a disappointment so far.

Would it be possible for someone to try and download my golf course? see if it works for them? its Seaton Carew. Hartlepool. England. when I click start round it does nothing till I click again then the app either force closes or the ionic restarts? just to cancel it out it' not my device?

Tried that for you (load and start Seaton Carew) and get the same result, Ionic restarted. That kind of sucks for you.
