It appears on 6/8/2020 there were quite a few people that have all lost steps. Still happening. Very frustrating.

Actually @DaveDT it is only about 0.01% or one user in 10,000 users.

Fitbit is releasing an update soon to the server that fixes this.

Will the update fix this? The app on my Iphone 8 is not showing steps as I take them, but perhaps 15 or 20 minutes later, the step count on the app appears to catche up with numbers on my fitbit.

Your Fitbit account and app gets updated during a sync.

Now it is possible for the Fitbit app to act as a remote display of the tracker, but this is not a sync.

Update yesterday doesn't seem to have helped me.

I didn't have this issue until today.

Now my Fitbit Alta HR is stuck on 7143 steps, while Google Fit (usually about 1000-2000 steps less) shows 13599 steps.

This is a big issue for me since I am trying to lose weight with myfitnesspal,

Makes it very difficult knowing how to plan my day, activities and diet.

This might be the straw for me, after several years as a customer.

Thinking about Xiaomi or Garmin instead.

Does anyone know when this will be fixed?   Thinking of giving up, and buying a Gamin if they can't get it fixed soon.

I’ve waited 5 months for them to sort this issue out , I’m now going to have to purchase something else and my Ionic isn’t even a year old

Its very sad really, I always loved fitbit until this now, mine device
was only 3 months old Ive had to switch to a Samsung Active 2. Ive wasted a
lot of money still not getting any response from fitbit can't even get a
refund as they are ignoring me. And worse of all people are still buying
fitbit devices not knowing the app problems.

This also happened to me on 10th June and to cap it all whilst the app showed my exercise it failed to

include it in the statistics. Daniel Z and the fitbit support team did their best to get rid of me when I sought their support. Has anyone else found a similar lack of support and basic failure to read the detail of the support required?

I have had Fitbits for years, and have loved the support until now. The
only thing they seemed interested in was getting me off the phone. I was
getting ready to buy 3 new fitbits for my family, but know I researching
