Monitoring vitals

Hi everyone,

My best friend's partner is terminally ill and it has become dangerous to leave her home alone because her heart beat is so irregular and you never know when she is going to crash. We were trying to find a way to monitor her vitals when she is home alone and we stumbled upon an application called Care Mind. It would be perfect, as it allows you to monitor a loved one's vitals through the app so that we can be sure that she is safe when we cannot be home with her. The only problem is that the app is only available through ios and we all have Android phones. Is there a comparable application that would allow us to monitor her vitals on Android? We are ready to buy a Fitbit if we can figure out how to make it work because that would help the issue of leaving her at home alone considerably.

Hello there @Scotty615, nice to see you have joined the Fitbit Community, welcome aboard! I was reading your post and I'm sorry to hear about your friend's condition. I can understand how hard it can be as I experienced something similar with my brother.

In this case note that most of the officially supported integrations does not have option to read heart rate from the Fitbit tracker.Only the Fitbit app has access to the heart rate data from our tracker's line that has this feature available.

I've seen some apps in the Android Google play store, but it seems none of them are able to read in real time the heart rate signals or that integrates with Fitbit. I friend brought to my attention CUEDETA, which offers options like the one you are looking, although I would leave this to you to review. In Google you can find dedicated articles about this option that works using Android smartphones.

Note that Fitbit trackers are not for medical purposes, so with a delicate topic like this, I would strongly recommend to consult a physician for what would be the best option to monitor your friend's hear rate.

Hope this info helps a little and my best wishes to you and your friend.
