Hi. Even though I’m wearing my Fitbit to bed it’s not tracking my Breathing Rate. Last night I slept over 7 hours. Any suggestions? Thanks!

@Deborah120 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
Please check the following:
Is breathing rate the only health metric that's not visible in your Fitbit app?

Same problem for me too.
I have tried all of the suggested trouble shooting, and all other metrics are displaying as they should.

Same problem here too. I've had my Sense for almost 2 months now and the Health Metrics -> Breathing Rate was working properly for most of those days (occasionally there would be 1 missing day here or there). But for the last 7 days straight, there's been no data and yet I haven't changed anything on the way I wear my device or other settings in the app.
I wear my Sense to sleep every night and regularly get between 5 to 7 hours of sleep each night.
I will try the suggestions about quitting the app and clearing the cache to see if it helps.

I have the same problem with only the Health Metrics -> Breathing Rate data not appearing for the last 7 days consecutively. All other metrics are recording properly. I just followed the suggestions you mentioned. We'll see if it helps after tonight's sleep. I'll reply tomorrow morning and let you know.

Hi @SilviaFitbit . After doing the suggestions below, my Breathing Rate is now showing from last night in the app.
However, a new issue popped up in that my Sleep Score didn't appear on my clock face (standard default clock) as it normally does after synching.
I fixed it by changing clock faces to the Sp02 face and then back to the standard face and the sleep score appeared.
Seems there's a few glitches in synching up the software on the fitbit and the app when things change. I'd get your team to work on that as less technologically savvy users might have a lot more trouble handling these updates to re-sync everything between their fitbit and their phone app.
Thanks.

Hi again,
I have to say this breathing rate tracking is terribly inconsistent. It was mostly working day to day, but then it started skipping a couple of days and startup again for another couple days, then skip a couple more, etc...
This week, I only got 3 out of 7 days tracked. This is terrible. Usually, all my other statistics are captures, but even those sometimes the skin temperature is missed 1 day a week (as it was this week) and sometimes the SpO2 is dropped on one day (but not this week, it has been much better lately).
I'm wondering what is going on here. I wear my Sense to bed every night and have not missed a day. I do turn off my phone completely at night so there would be no Bluetooth connection to upload the stats to until the next morning when I power on my phone and the Bluetooth connection would start up and the Sense could then connect to upload the data.
It usually takes several minutes (15 mins at least) before the SpO2 data is available (and the Breathing Rate, if it shows up). Is this normal behaviour?
Why is the Breathing Rate data so flakey? I think you should be looking hard at fixing this.
P.S. How can I upload a screenshot to this forum? The Insert/Edit image camera icon here on the editor is only textboxes which presumably means you have to use a URL to an online photo storage sharing site. I don't want to do that as I have the photo as a .jpg on my phone and computer.
Thanks,
Andre

@SilviaFitbit Hi Silvia. Wow, those "instructions" on how to attach an image are extremely out of date. I'm using the latest Chrome browser on Windows 10 and the attach image button (a camera icon) pops up a dialog box that looks NOTHING like your old instructions from years ago.
This dialog box has only a textbox to enter a path to an image on the web (URL) and no browse button for an image on the computer. So, I have no way of even showing you what this new attach image box looks like.
It has now been 5 days straight with no breathing rate stats and yet all the other stats are being collected. I have done the usual of logging out, force quitting the app, clearing the cache, restarting the Sense and logging back in and syncing all over again.
Well, it does seem to work in the Firefox browser.

Another update. The Health Metrics/Breathing Rate is still very inconsistent. I'm lucky if I can get 2 out of 7 days in a week to give results and I wear my Sense nearly 24 hours a day and every time I sleep.
I seem to remember it was more consistent when I first got the Sense in November 2020 so I don't know what has happened to it. All the other metrics have been working just fine, so could it be one of the physical sensors is not working? I haven't damaged the watch and have been very careful with it and cleaning it only with warm water and a soft towel.
Here's my current weekly stats:
How do I get support for this?

Hello @SilviaFitbit I am having the same issues since December last year. My sense was changed by customer service, same problem. I know it sounds odd but in the last few months the breathing rate though used to appear only Tuesdays and only if I would keep my app active in the background at night. Tried other days with the app active, it didn't work. Tried Monday at night without the app active, it wouldn't appear on Tuesday. Few weeks ago even this "trick" stopped working. Any news? It's the only thing that doesn't work. Thank you. **update. Yesterday the app was update and today the BR was tracked. Just random?

@SunsetRunner Hi there. Thanks for the detailed information shared.
I appreciate that you updated the post to let me know that the BR was tracked yesterday. I'd like you to ensure that you're complying with the tips mentioned here.
Note that some factors that can affect breathing rate include age, sex, weight, lung and heart conditions, anxiety, and fever.
See you around.
