I attempted the instructions as well and it doesn’t even show premium where they say to cancel it on the fitbit app. My free trial was supposed to change to pay as of yesterday. I finally had to give up as I didn’t know what else to do about it. So today I get a notification from PayPal that I was just charged for a $9.99 charge to something called ‘Atlanticplaypalc@digitalriver’ … it was for Fitbit and described as a recurring charge so I’m sure that’s it. they didn’t even charge my dam credit card, they charged my checking account for some unknown reason. All of my settings on PayPal are to charge a particular credit card and this somehow didn’t. Talk about sneaky and underhanded, I don’t appreciate at all that Fitbit makes it impossible to find where to cancel this membership and recurring charge

I love Fitbit, but I can't believe how much of a scam the free trial is. I have been trying to cancel for hours. It shows up in my Fitbit.com but there's no button to cancel. Fitbit told me I need to go to Google but there's nothing there because it's a free trial and I called Google and they told me I needed to call Fitbit and I called Fitbit and I told me I needed to call google. I really don't have the money for this to be taken out I really need help figuring out how to cancel the trial.

I have a reduced price year long trial subscription I received when I bought my Versa 3.
I went to TODAY tab, clicked on my icon ACCOUNT tab, scrolled down to Account Settings (information that seems to be missing from moderator’s instructions) and tap that, THEN scroll down to Manage Subscriptions and I’m taken to a tab titled “Subscriptions” which has absolutely no mention anywhere about anything even close to “FitBit” or “premium.” So that doesn’t work… like most everything about the FitBit app since a bit after Google took over.
I’ve given up waiting for the FitBit app to be fixed. It seems with every update there is MORE wrong with it, rather then less. This is the reason I want to cancel my premium subscription and switch to a paid subscription to Cronometer app. This is one of a handful of apps that has actual useful information.
My FitBit app shows 743 calories for breakfast, with 593 calories total for Today (I have a screenshot on my phone) with macronutrients of 14g carbs, 54g fat and 47g protein. Look in nutrients tab, it shows 116g carbs, 942g fat and 1085g protein, with figures for trans fats, saturated fat, vitamin C, vitamin A and iron all missing… just dashes. I do have figures for cholesterol and sodium though: 35101 mg and 11863 mg, respectively… I should just be glad that I’m not dead with figures like those.
We’ve been waiting months for FitBit to fix these issues and the only action they take is to close the thread and mark it answered.
I’m fed up with the lack of customer support, I just want to make sure that FitBit won’t come back and charge me for a subscription renewal 9 months after I stop using it.

I am on a Google Pixel 6 Pro running on Android 12 and have premium subscription.
1. I go to Today tab. (I would like to add screen shots but the default here crops out most of it, making it pointless)
2. I tap on the little round picture top left of Today tab, that takes me to Account tab, I scroll down and there is NO “Manage Subscriptions” available, so I tap on Account Settings.
3. I am now on the Account Settings tab and scroll down to Manage Subscription (not Manage Subscriptions)
4. I am now on what appears to be the Play Store page, black background, titled “Subscriptions.”
There are two sections to this page.
The top section is Active subscriptions, the only sentence after “Active” is “You don’t have any active subscriptions”
The bottom section is Expired subscriptions, the only entry after that is Pandora.
I have made sure that I am following your procedure. It does NOT however change the fact that your procedure is inaccurate and DOES NOT WORK!

No it doesn't stop by itself. I have the exact same problem and was charged a month's subscription when my free trial ended even though I tried to cancel it and couldn't.
However, as the payment was taken via PayPal, I think I have now stopped it it by deleting the automatic payment to "Google Inc" (Fitbit is now owned by Google but I would never had guessed the payment was for Fitbit Premium if they hadn't been listed as the payee on my PayPal receipt), which is right at the bottom of the Wallet tab in the PayPal app, but I wasn't told how to do this and didn't know the free trial had been linked to my PayPal account until after the trial ended and the first payment had already been taken.
Fitbit Support kept telling me to cancel via the Google Play store but the free trial came with my new Fitbit Charge 4 device and I'm pretty sure I signed up via the Fitbit.com website but, when I go there, it just says the subscription is active and tells me my next billing date with no way to cancel it. The word Active looks like a link but it isn't. The only option given is to contact Support, which I did, but they said they couldn't cancel it for me and now insist they can't give me a refund because Google Play don't give them access to their systems!!! It's infuriating because I didn't sign up for the trial via the Play Store!! Fitbit doesn't appear in my list of active Google Play subscriptions or even in my activity history, which it would if I'd ever signed up via the Play store, as all my other subscriptions are there. I also receive an email from Google Play in advance of any subscription being renewed or payment taken but I didn't receive this for Fitbit Premium.
It's a huge scam and Fitbit / Google must be making a lot of money from it if they keep giving users the runaround and refusing to issue refunds
