Quoting from Press release:
Fitbit Premium will start rolling out in September 2019 at $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year (USD). Fitbit will be exploring promotional pricing and product bundle offers, and will continue to expand upon and refine Premium based on customer feedback.

I saw an article that said it was $7.99 a month or $39.99 a year. $16 difference between monthly and annually isn’t much of an incentive

My math say that is $55.89 difference annually. Is your $39.99 a typo?

above article says $7.99/$79.99 which is a savings of $16 for paying a year
in advance, not a good enough incentive in my opinion

I used to have fitbit premium. Now it's not an option anymore. Did they eliminate the service? Are my records all gone?
