Inquiry about 6 month Premium subscription

I preordered a sense and it comes with a free 6mo subscription to the premium subscription. But because I have already had a membership, I’m not eligible???? So I lose out on a 60 bonus because I already have it?! Come on Fitbit!!!!

I did not try premium yet. However, I also get an error message in the app after activation when I click on the premium button down.

"You are already a premium member. Welcome back." -> therefore I can not get any information. @Fitbit please help.

I'm glad to hear that you preordered a Fitbit Sense. Current Fitbit Premium subscribers can start the free trial after they cancel their premium subscription and then start the free trial with the purchase of an applicable Fitbit device.

@EricTune It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community! Thank you for the screenshot attached and the details mentioned. 

Your Fitbit Premium will activate when you set up your Fitbit device that comes with a free subscription. Please log out, force quit the app and log back in.

I am premium until Oct 14 and have cancelled my subscription. 
never have seen a prompt for the free 6 months. 
I have replaced device and got nothing. 
I have removed device and started over no prompts for free 6 months. 
have logged out and force quit app with each attempt. 
What’s next?
