Also looking at other platforms now. Please post if you find something similar to what we use to have here. I will do likewise.

The new format is horrible and completely NON FUNCTIONAL for me and my wife atm. I rely on this site to track and log my daily food intake. I NEED the Macro breakdown on each food, I NEED to see fats, proteins, simple and complex carb values in my foodI NEED to see all the available info which was provided with the last interface.

FIX this mess up or allow us to revert to the older version.

ALL I can say is, thank god I logged my weeks meals before they messed this all up. Lets hope they revert by Saturday morning, SMFH.

Horrible interface. Why do companies always think they need to "improve" function or form, especially without asking users?

Best Answer

Oh, & I'd also like to mention how nice & customer-oriented it was for Fitbit to hoist this travesty on us without any warning or requests for input.  Talk about lousy customer service!!!!  That alone has me already researching getting some other brand.

Best Answer

What happened?  An hour ago it was good, now I have no idea how to log stuff.  I do NOT want this interface. How can I get back to the other one.

Best Answer

Agreed, I understand if they want to change the interface to match the phone application. But I need the macro breakdown (protein/carbs/fat/fiber) in grams to be more easily displayed. I am extremely frustrated that I cannot see this information or input fractions. Also, the browser dashboard is not mobile-optimized and I am completely unable to view the entire dashboard because it refuses to scroll down further than the bannered information at the top (I have an iPhone).

The macros (g.) and the input fractions are make-or-break function for me and I will likely stop using the FitBit application if they do not revise their interface update. Extremely disappointed.

You also can't prelog your food. I rely heavily on prelogging my meals for the work week. When I click on the calendar, future dates are greyed out and are not an option.

Best Answer

Yup, it's completely broken: way over complicated, excessively paginated, unintuitive, and it doesn't accept accurate quantities, only whole numbers!? The custom food editing system is trash now too, and also forces whole numbers.

Seems they broke the website data logging process in order to accommodate the fancy touch friendly UI, which looks good on the data viewing pages, but is otherwise completely unnecessary for PC users; and results in not only general dysfunction but also a ton of page changes and excessive white space.

Almost all the data I needed used to fit on one screen, now I have to click through pages to get to Recents and Custom foods, and my Custom foods take up 4 screens worth of space, instead of just being in a short and quickly accessible sidebar!?

Seems they hired a UI specialist rather than the UX specialist they needed. The site coulda used a few improvements, for sure, but changing the way it looks doesn't necessarily improve anything.

Fitbit is a tool, not an art project. That doesn't mean it needs to be ugly, but it does mean it needs to be functional.

What is up.  Yesterday I could log my food and drink as usual.  Now without a warning there is a change, and it is significant.  There is no place in which I can get a daily total for carbs, fats, and proteins.  Only percentages that makes it very difficult to know how much that I need in my next meal.  This is terrible as was indicated before.  What is FITBIT going to do to resolve this issue?  Can we as users revert to the prior interface for the Dashboard?  My wife is furious and this has not made for a happy household.  If any users or developers out there know of a solution, please respond.

How can I log 1/4 of an avocado?  It is only letting me log a whole avocado.  Didn't know the change was going to occur until I went to log and am trying to adapt but hoping I can change it back to the way it used to be.

I want my old food log back. I can't do this new one. It takes me all day to get my food logged in. Please give the old one back.

I agree with all of you -- Fitbit -- put the food logging back!  and you can't even select 1/2 cup of whatever.  what were they thinking!

I appreciate any efforts to upgrade/improve...but I'm still trying to figure out the new food logging interface. I'd appreciate if someone could post instructions....until it's worked out I'm going back to my paper notebook...

I was taken aback when I went to log my dinner and this new interface came up.  I agree with the complaints others have mentioned, and noticed one more - the "Meals" logging is gone, so it's no longer just one click to log the recipes you often use. What a pain.

Please give us the old functionality back!

Best Answer

I absolutely agree this is a most unwelcome change. It does nothing to improve food logging and in fact, makes it slower and more cumbersome. Two hours ago I logged on and updated my Dinner menu in a couple of minutes with the old system. I just tried to enter something for a snack and was confronted with this most unwelcome " improvement " that makes not only things more difficult to find what I need but less clear than the old way.

Please revert back to the old screens these ones are not an improvement in any way and remind me why I never used the windows 10 app to log food or anything.

I can't use this either.  Time to go back to My Fitness Pal.  Why would they change a good thing and make it so unfriendly?  At least give the option of using the old interface.  This is just awful and totally unusable.

Best Answer

I can see macro breakdowns, but sodium and fiber intake have disappeared. Guess in Fitbit world these things no longer matter! What a stupid way to go about an update.

it is beyond horrible i just spoke with a customer service rep. and this is the "new" version! I let them know in no uncertain terms how bad it is. No macro totals, food favorites gone, hard to use, harder to log food, i am so very disappointed I used this everyday and now it will not work!!!!
