It's nice to see you around the Community @glenna_4 , how's everything going? The graph is based on instantaneous results. Previous days will show your total in vs total out, but on the current day, it shows what you have already burned vs what you have already eaten. So, if you eat a large breakfast, but haven't done any moving around, you might be over (red) your current calories, but won't exceed your goal for the day. I would suggest looking more at total calories for the day rather than a snapshot during the day.
If this doesn't answer your question, please send me screen shot to see what you're referring to so I can go from there.
I'll be around my friend!

I understand how the calories in/out work and change throughout the day. My question is related to the actual gray bar representing calories out. If you notice that Friday and Monday do not have a light gray strip at the top of the bar when the rest of the day's do. Does this have any significance?

@glenna_4 thanks for the update and the screenshot! Seems to me like the grey bar is your calorie deficit. A calorie deficit occurs when you've burned more calories than you've consumed in a given day. To achieve a weight loss goal, you should aim for a calorie deficit. If you've set a weight-loss goal you can choose the intensity of your food plan, which will in turn adjust your calorie deficit target. Here's an explanation of the food plan from the Dashboard. Check it out here!

@glenna_4 thanks for getting back to me! Thanks for clarifying, I see what you mean now. Are these two tiny grey bars right?
That's a very good question and I haven't noticed until today. I'll investigate a little more but in the meantime, would you log out and then log back in to your app and let me know if you still have the same results? I'll be looking forward to your new comments!

Looking at your screenshot I'm going to guess that those 2 days have a deficit higher than 3000ish calories (i.e. those bars go past the top of the graph so you're just not seeing the top of the bar). If the graph resized it's scale you'd probably see them.
