Fitbit syncing resets device

Just finished a 5 mile walk.  Fitbit  was above the 10,000 steps.  (All lights full and vibrated its happy dance). When I synced my flex 2 to my phone just now, it registereded that I have gone 4 steps today and reset my device to that amt.  It's done this before, any ideas to fix this?

Try restarting your flex 2 several times. That wont restore your lost steps but hopefully will stop it happening again. Let us know how you go.

I just had the same problem with my FitBit HR.

I had over 14,000 steps and I synced it with the app and it reset everything to zero.  So frustrating.
