2,020 Miles in 2020

Hello all!  The New Year is upon us very soon!  The annual goal to run/walk/move 2,020 miles for the year 2020 is right around the corner.

As luck would have it, 2020 is a Leap Year, which means we have an extra day to complete our goal which is ever so slightly easier than last year's goal.  Your daily goal is slightly lower, but the weekly and monthly goal slightly increases.

2,020 miles =

5.51 miles per day

38.84 miles per week

168.33 miles per month

Since Fitbit decommissioned the old web-based groups, I created a group in the Fitbit app instead.  I will be renaming the current 2019 group to reflect the New Year of 2020 later next week to minimize the amount of invites I have to send out to everyone.  So if you're already a part of the 2019 group in the Fitbit, you don't need to do anything!

If you would like to join the 2020 group in the Fitbit app and you're not already apart of the 2019 group, please let me know here and I'll send you a friend request.  Once you accept, I can add you to the group.

Here's where I'm at right now.  Obviously, July wasn't a good month, but I'm still ahead of target.  I'm hoping to do 500K steps for the month of August.  We'll see how that goes.

I would like to be part of the challenge.  I realize that it is getting a little late in the year for 2020, but I'd like to be ready for 2021.  (Although, looking at my stats, I may be able to pull off achieving the 2020 if I push a little farther.)

Thanks,

Gosh I must be pretty close to finished most of the year I’ve averaged about 13.5 steps or more. Last week has been one of my worst. Migraines and I’ve injured a leg and I’m still managing to hop around a bit. How do I find out how many I’ve done?

Click Fitbit icon and open the Dashboard.
Go too Activities.
Over on the right near the top it says TODAY.
You can enter a start date and an end date YY-MM-DD.
Then a graph of all that comes up and on the bottom in large print is your total steps and miles.
2,500,000 steps and 1400mi for me so far.

Good luck with the leg. I pulled a hamstring and butt muscle in March and I still feel it being tight.
But like you, the steps go on.

Thank you so much. Ok I'm at 3,618 000. I didn't even think I could do that many steps! This group has motivated me so much! Last year I was barely getting ten thousand steps. This year my goal started at 12,500 and worked up to 13,500. Thank you so much you guys! You are the best! I can't believe I made it before the end of the year!

I realize its the middle of October. And I'm only at 1300 miles year to date. But, I'm recovering from a hamstring injury and hoping to make the 4th quarter really great. Plus, I'd love to be teed up to start this next year. If you have room to add me, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you.
