So the app has decided it can't find my Inspire 3 it starts by not syncing this has happened a few times normally I just restart my phone and all is good, this time I restared my phone 3 times no success, I then removed the device from the App so could add again which has also worked before but now it cant find the device at all, so I have tried several other things.
So far I've restarted the fitbit itself. Turned Bluetooth off then back on. Unistalled the App and reinstalled.
I've done all these at least 5 times aswell as restarting my phone several more times nothing is working. Any ideas on what to do next other than getting rid of the fit bit and tryibg a galaxy fit watch instead.

But how do you download an earlier version. On the playstore there's no option and it just downloads the latest version?

SOLVED - uninstall app. Google "Fitbit 4.26.1" install that version of the app (available on MIRROR) then setup. All worked immediately so clearly an issue with the latest update.

I have done all the same as the others and nothing works. i have updated my android phone, deleted and reinstalled the software, reset my fitbit, shut off the bluetooth and started again. My bluetooth recognizes the Inspire 3, but when the app starts it will not connect and erases the Inspire 3 from my list. I have done this so many times, madness is starting to creep in. Please fix you software; this has been going for 7 days.

I tried again today to link my fitbit inspire 3, wouldn't work. so i braved the up_to_down app store, downloaded version 4.26 against chrome's (google) advice and voila, it works again. Come on google fix this so we don't have to circumvent you to make your device work.

I'm having the exact same problem. Have tried all you suggest but I just keep getting the error message "something went wrong".

If you have an Android phone, then your new Inspire 3 device running with Factory firmware is totally unusable until Google releases an updated App SW version to Play Store that resolves the Bluetooth setup and sync issue that the current 4.28 App SW release has.

I have the same issue and also called support and was told they are working on a fix, but that was 5 days ago and my new replacement inspire 3 will not go through the initial setup, it just says " error, something went wrong, please try again " so I can't even use it at all, as without a first setup, it doesn't even work as a watch, let alone a tracker. I hope they fix it soon.!

I have exactly the same problem and have tried the same things. When I called support, they said there was a problem with the app and they were working on it but that was 5 days ago and I still cannot setup my device. Yet it works ok when setting up and adding my old charge 2. So it's just my inspire 3 that it can't setup.

I'm having the same issues.
I'm not even going to bother with it anymore. The device isn't worth the trouble and the HRM was never accurate when doing HIIT workouts on the treadmill.

So slight update. I recently got a new phone (Upgraded from an Android Samsung A12 to Samsung A15), and the app immediately saw my Inspire 3, connected, updated, and acts like nothing was ever wrong. However the issue persists with my mother's Inspire 3, in which she also has a Samsung A12. It keeps prompting to set up the FitBit, but when you try to set up you just get the infinite loading screen with the FitBit logo and nothing more. Resetting the device, uninstalling the app, clearing data/cache, restarting Bluetooth.... nothing.
Hopefully an upcoming update will help. She needs it for heart monitoring.
