Custom stats not saving

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the new OS update, I am unable to save my custom stats. I like to view particular things when I run, bike, etc. I work out 2-4 times a day, and it is frustrating to have to reset these before every single exercise. Anyone know what is going on with it?

@jwebb72 I hope you're doing well! Thank you for downloading the new firmware version for Ionic. I'm very glad to hear that this situation seems to be sorted now. Please update me in a couple of days with the final results!

@bmw54 @Derek311 Thanks for your replies! Yesterday, new Ionic's firmware (OS 2.1.1 or version 32.10.20) was released. As usual, this is a progressive roll out. If you haven't received it already, you should in the following days. This update includes some bug fixes so please give it a try! Check this post for more details about it.

Hope this helps. Please let me know the results! Smiley Happy

@trekkerdean I had to manually restart the watch after updating to the latest firmware in order for the exercise custom stats to stick.

@trekkerdean Thanks for your reply and for updating Ionic to its latest firmware version.

Just as @jwebb72 kindly suggested, please perform a restart on your watch. Then, check if the custom stats are saving. This should help you out!

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

@SantiR

Happy to report that the exercise custom stats are still sticking since the update. Unfortunately, the automatic laps (exercise cues) are still reverting back to .5 miles after syncing. Before, the workaround was to set on the Fitbit dashboard but even that doesn't work now. Strangely, the Fitbit Android app exercise cues are sticking but not on the watch or the Fitbit dashboard. Hope this helps.

I've updated and installed and reinstalled and reset everything and my custom stats STILL don't stick AND my app notifications won't load. Suggestions beyond what I've already tried ad nauseam?

I have given the watch a restart and the custom stats are still not holding.

Tempted to do a factory reset and see how that goes.

Good luck! Let me know!
I've factory reset a couple of times AFTER the firmware update and still it
won't work properly.

And like I mentioned, now the app won't load notifications.

It's becoming almost comical.

I have done a factory reset of the phone to avail.  Want to check that I am using the correct version of the fitbit ionic software version  27.32.10.20.

I did the update yesterday. Still having the same issue. I would need to do the factory reset, I tried but it didn’t work, anybody else going through this?

can you confirm in  2 or  3 days after using your watch several times ?

An interesting side note - the issue *appears* to be exercise specific.  That is to say, my custom stats for swimming are sticky, but all other exercises I have attempted to customize (Run, Golf & Walk) are NOT sticky.  They all reset after I sync.

Updated as you suggested and still no luck.  Very frustrating and disappointing.  When I walk or do the elliptical I want HR on the top and steps on the bottom and have to reset them every single time.  It was never like that before the OS 2 update and three months later you still haven't fixed it.

Everything seems to work now. The stats stay as I set them....

Hello

Did you do a particular manipulation?

For me ionic does not save stats (running)

Has anyone set up custom stats for Walk and had them stick? I still can't
get that one to work correctly and it's the one I use most frequently!
