DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FITBIT IONIC!!

I bought a Fitbit Ionic 1 and 1/2 years ago and it’s already broken. Was working fine, fully charged, and then screen just went black. Unable to reset/restart. Called help desk and after 5 minutes they said, “Nothing can be done except to buy a new one. Let me transfer you over to Sales now!” Absolutely not! What a rip off! (This is the 2nd Fitbit product that has broken after barely a year.)

I am a Fitness Director who has always stood behind and recommended Fitbit (over Apple) to clients...UNTIL NOW! Don’t waste your money on a Fitbit watch!!!

I’ll be buying a new reliable Apple Watch that has many more features than anything Fitbit offers, a better warranty, and more importantly, a MUCH longer shelf life!! Plus they have an actual help desk that provides real help. Don’t waste your money on Fitbit products!!!

Could not agree more!!   My watch just failed 2 months after my 1 year warranty expired.  When I contacted Fitbit and told them that I expected by Ionic to last more than 14 months, they said ... Most do, but some don't, sucks to be you.  And we look froward to you buying another Ionic!"   Here is the email they sent me.

my Ionic died at month 16, I got it replaced and the replacement died in july after 4 months of use, replacement sent pretty much was a refurbished watch as fitbit claim in their warranty policies.

they have tons of issues with their software that overload the hardware making it fail, fatally in many cases. these are not isolated issues, these are pretty common and known issues with these products.

hundreds if not thousands of users got burned with Ionic watches. These are disposable throw away products.
