So last night my wife’s Fitbit ionic all of a sudden stop working . We did a factory reset after the battery started to die in less than 24 hours after the most recent update about two weeks ago. The Ionic never connected to her cellphone again and this morning it would not even come on. What is really amazing is that my ionic stopped working about two weeks ago. I got lucky and was just within warranty but it had me asking questions as to why they would go out almost at the same time after the most recent update. Her ionic was about three months beyond it’s one year warranty so no replacement. I have gone through three ionic in the last three years all have stopped working at about the year mark. This was her first one. Between both of us we have owned 9 fitbits within the past 5 years or so and I’m sad to say it’s time to find a better watch that will last more than a year. I can’t continue to spend $200.00 to $400.00 A year to replace one year watches. So with that I say good by to Fitbit and can say I will never buy another Fitbit again. Sorry for the rant I’m just frustrated with Fitbit.

My guess is your not charging it correctly
See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery
Best of luck to you. Next device you buy you might want to read the Manual so you know a bit more

How is this response helpful??? How do you know the OP didn't read the manual? This forum should be here to help - yet you come across as condescending without actually asking a question and waiting for a reply. The mind boggles.
OP I've had the same issue and agree, I'm done with Fitbit. The IONIC is an inferior product in my opinion.

Sorry for your luck. Did you happen to buy it using a major Credit Card? One of the common perks of using the card is that the card company offers extended warranty, so if you can find or get the receipt from the vendor and provide a bit of paperwork you may be able to get your money back up to a year after Fitbit stop covering it.
I'm waiting on Visa to process my claim for my daughters Charge 3.

Exactly the same has just happened to me and this was a replacement for previous charge 2 that died within 2 years. I’m with you on this. Waiting to hear back from Support

I have been in a similar situation, fitbit customer service recently have been awful and unhelpful, verging on being very patronising. Two fitbit ionics I have had that have only lasted 8 and 6 months respectively. I'll never buy another one after the most recent experience.
