Fitbit Ionic stopped working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi

My Fitbit Ionic stopped working completely and I've had it for only 16 months. Is this normal? I'm on Universal Credit, so this is a bit of a blow.

I would've thought they'd last longer than this?

Any advice would be appreciated guys.

I had the same issue. My Ionic stopped working in less of 18 hs. The display turn off.

I am from Argentina and Fitbit can't help me.

Yes my ionic stopped yesterday too.  just went to recharge it and it has not worked since.  Waiting for Fitbit to contact me now, support chat could not help me in Australia.

I as well have the same issue with my Ionic not charging. The issue then means that it will not reboot and of course will not update the app as there is no information transfer. Bit disappointing as i have been a fitbit member since 2015. Very difficult to get support when you need it.

This is my 4th IONIC and the battery has started to fail.  I don't know whether to go with SENSE or VERSA 3

It shouldn't be. This is my 2nd Ionic. The first one was three years old and heart rate monitor stopped functioning last summer 2021. I purchased on Ebay a new one and avoided any updates because of the complaints, but did notice that it had been update since 2021 when I received it. Not sure what version. I never, knowing updated the firmware since and it stopped working about 30 hours ago. It's bricked. The 25% discount on a new device is not a fix. Wonder why more owners haven't spoken out on this. Commercially, it seems obvious why Fitbit is indifferent or culpable.

There are several posts about bricked units which would indicate an unacknowledged, unresolved problem.

Hi all

I spoke with Fitbit and they told me that the Fitbit was within warranty, so they sent me a new Versa 2, which was great.

I have to say that whilst I complain when things go wrong, I also acknowledge when things are done well. Fitbit have been exceptionally helpful and I'm delighted that they've managed to resolve this promptly and efficiently.

Thanks for everyone's responses and I hope you also have luck resolving the issues.
