Will this update finally solve the right-to-left problem for right-to-left languages?

Mine died during the recent update. Just went black screen and no ability to turn it on. Is that what people are dealing with? I blame Covid 19...

Update: after speaking with customer support, doing a reset etc. The best they could offer was a 25% discount. I was offered me a little more discount on a Versa, but i own the Ionic? They sent me an email with discounts on various fitbits that is valid for 30 days. It's annoying cause my Ionic was working perfectly fine until after the update. When you make that point, customer support does not have an answer for you! It is obvious the update is the cause of the problem but seems like no solution is in sight. I'm not happy 😞

Did you buy it using a major credit card? That adds a year to your warranty coverage. Life is too short to waste any more of it on Fitbit and their "customer service". Use the extended warranty to recoup your loss if Fitbit wont take responsibility, and replace the Ionic with an apple watch 3 or garmin or whatever.
Details regarding CC claim procedures were listed up thread.

I started my avoid the factory reset thread before reading this one. The scoop is this: when the Ionic fails to power up (due to this faulty update) the watch is toast. There is no way up upload a firmware fix via bluetooth because the watch is not listening and there is no external port on the watch for uploading new firmware. (Future product upgrade - add some contacts to the recharger port so that customers could use that port to upload these wonderful upgrades - one or two should do it).
Basically, through this faulty firmware "upgrade" they contaminated various versions of this product which effectively killed them. A reputable response would be to replace the damaged products. They probably won't do this in a timely fashion so I bought a Garmin. Hey FitBit...this could cause a very large stain. I would call this one a five alarm fire.

This is a woeful response tbh!
The day before I updated the firmware the battery was lasting 5 days+. The day after the update it lasts 12hrs. No change in settings, not change is anything (APART FROM THE FIRMWARE).
This really is unacceptable as I now have a useless Ionic. It is only 16months old!!!!!
I demand a replacement that works with the current app! PLEASE ADVISE
P.S. Why is the Chat function no longer available??

Matt - The update i did in January on my Ionic has completely ruined my watch (which was fine before the January update) - 100% battery before switching off, switch on then the battery is completely dead. no longer automatically syncs with my phone and need to be hard synced once i eventually recharge to use again.
Advise what I need to do / how you can fix this issue / or how I get a refund, the watch should last longer than just a year - the reason I moved from iWatch to Fitbti was because of the battery length.
Awaiting your comments and advice.

After talking with Customer Support (no help, they said that's how it's supposed to be, which is obviously incorrect) then DM'g with Twitter Fitbit Support, they suggested a factory (more than a hard) reset. Took 3 tries but it worked, my watch is back to normal!

Thanks for his and really appreciate your feedback.
This was supposed to be their Flagship Watch - it’s a joke the way the Play Down their own issue.
I’ll try the Factory reset a few times - if that at fails back to Apple for next Watch, should never have changed to Fitbit, Love the their Watches but Customer Service and lies are Shocking.
Cheers.

The factory reset and then firmware update worked for me. Again it took multiple tries to get the factory reset to work, but once it did my watch paired to my phone and updated to the latest firmware. Everything seems to be working as it should now. GPS tracked a few of my runs accurately. Battery seems normal. I did need to reload my watch faces, at first things didn't look right, after a reload it was back to normal.
Hope this helps. This situation sucks, Fitbit definitely does not test things appropriately.

Really appreciate this feedback as I was going insane with lack of help from the company which I bought the watch. It shows the Fitbit community is better that the manufacturers themselves - if I was in charge of the company, this type of community Is one I’d want as a customer base, they lose this if this and any future issues are dealt with this badly.
thanks again 👍

I updated my Ionic to 70.7.27 two days ago and now it won't keep a charge. A 100% charge is depleted to zero (0) in 6 hours. A full charge used to last 3 - 4 days. What's up? How can we back this firmware update out?

I too just brought a garmin and waiting for it to arrive by tomorrow. The great thing. Fitbit didnt get my money.
I have had three different types of fitbits. ALL needing to be replace. multiple times. I have been with fitbit close to 5 years. I've kept all the broken ones.
Like i said after 5 years of being with fitbit I would be a fool to literal spend another dime for a watch that the battery can't even be changed in and products that last maybe 15 months??? really -_-
also "IF" you (notice how i said if right??) think people are making this up well, if that the case i can say YOUR story with garmin could be too...............(and yes i have already checked out thier forum and weighed the pros and cons ect before i spent my money again.)
But see, i won't becasue i dont know your history. Let acknowledge that people just dont rough things out with a company for years just to lie the next day...................fitbit failed big time.
it as simple as that. if you can explain what happen to my watch that i took extremely care up. Please tell me how it my fault just like the patronizing fitbit customer service dudes did.
but no one lying here, also my dad still has his first garmin from four years ago and still going strong. and even though i think Apple is for pod people. my sister who is a die hard apple everything has never complained about her apple watch.......the same one also for 3 years.
so while you "attempt to" say that this can't happen or that. i also didnt think the whole world be fighting virus. So i mean...ummmm yeah, anything can happen and it did.and it does
and that update ruined my watch simple as that.

Dear @Mechanicaldoll what's your point?
Maybe my post was a little to hard? I will try to make my point more simple for you:
1) Fitbit is not flawless!
2) Garmin is not flawless!
3) Apple is not flawless!
4) Neither of their support are flawless!
5) Switching brand can be a good solution for some, but there are definitely cons with that.
6) For me, my experience so far and my demands, Fitbit is my (!) best choice!
Understand?
Offended?
