Then try a 3 button Factory Reset using the instructions below:
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely , the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.
This will return the watch to the way it was when you unboxed it. Be very precise as the method is very tricky.

@SunsetRunner Hi, I have to factory reset my Ionic because of a sudden battery drainage at 4 days.. I notice there is a Factory Reset in the Settings, About screen on the Ionic.
Is there any difference using this?

No difference, Colin. The 3 button method is only used when a display is not available ruling out the Settings method. The Settings method is much easier and more certain to work so it is much preferred where possible.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for confirming that... I now understand why Support suggested the 3 button method because I would have been coming from a dead flat scenario unless I did a quick charge to see the screen.
Keep up to good work.
Colin.

Maybe after the Factory reset the step missing is that there has to be a full setup on the Ionic to bring it up to the latest OS..
This post translation
Peut-être qu'après la réinitialisation d'usine, l'étape manquante est
qu'il doit y avoir une configuration complète sur l'Ionic pour l'amener au dernier OS.
Translation from original post
I now have to do a reset according to the factory settings
on the other hand I think that it misses a step in the email that they have me
sent. What has already been done?

@SantiR Well in control. Support want me to send my Ionic to your Fitbit representative in Australia to see why the battery suddenly discharges at around 4 days and 60% remaining. Then it discharges to dead flat in about 2 hours. Factory reset didn't help, now this final test is the charging after 3 restarts.
The Ionic is currently discharging @ 0.43%/hr which is typical in the first 4 days.
If that fails, that will be 4 continuous fails and the Ionic goes to Fitbit for analysis..

I have followed 3 button reset and get as far as the vibration and then the screen returns to Fitbit logo and doesn’t allow any further progress just a frozen screen. I have repeated the 3 button reset over 20 times with same NON result

HI and Thanks for your support with Fitbit watch strugglers.
I can get up to the second step ( releasing bottom right ) waiting for the strong vibration.
Once the vibration occurs I release the buttons. The fitbit logo come around and instead of rebooting the big red X sign comes up , time after time and after time ..with no fails.
I have tried tens of times.
Any clues from here ?
Regards/R
