Ionic stuck on 0% and won't charge

My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

If your fit bit still under warranty give Fitbit a call , mines gone back
to fit bit for another replacement. And if this one goes dodged before the
year is up again as have had so many never buying Fitbit again

I didn't waste money on a 2nd Fitbit. When a company won't do anything
about a widespread known defect they never get my money a 2nd time.

Not far behind you there. As had a Fitbit surge before the ionic. Which I
thought would be a lot more better. But same old problem not syncing.
Think it’s about time they fixe the issues myself

I’ve had the same issue for 4 days now too. So frustrating. This is my 5th Fitbit (inc 2x Blazes) which have failed and I’ve had to get replacements for.

I think they have committed something as fit it’s keep dodging up

It's a battery issue. When it is at 0% charge one thing that has worked for me is putting the watch in an oven at 55 degrees celsius for 1/2 an hour. Then it charges. But eventually, if left to go to zero % again, it will fail completely. If the thing sent "low battery" emails like it should then death may not have happened.

It’s dead as a dodo. Won’t sync and app just kept looking for it so it’s
sent back as it’s the second ionic with in a year that has done the same
thing.

Hello - I noticed since the most recent update I cannot charge my iconic without having to resetting it and for the past 3 days I have not been able to reset, display sits at zero 🙄

Welcome to the club. The charging problem is well known to Fitbit and they
refuse to do anything to correct it. You can try cleaning the contacts,
try a new charging cable, and try cleaning the channel that the cable sits
in on the watch. If you're like the rest of us you now own a paperweight.
If it's under warranty they'll send you a new one. If it's out of warranty
you're screwed. They'll offer you a 20% discount on your next Fitbit but
who the hell would want to ever buy another Fitbit. $200 for a watch that
lasts a year and a half. They'll never get another penny from me.

Call Fitbit & they will replace it. There is an ongoing problem with them 😢

How do you recommend to do a factory reset when the Ionic is at 0% charge? Surely the point here is that it has 0% charge so to recommend a reset is not really that clever, is it?

Yeah I have the 0% problem with my ionic. It has been charging and now it doesn’t and won’t. Even bought a new cable for it.

If it’s still under warranty go on live chat on the Fitbit website. To be fair to them they’ve exchanged mine without batting an eyelid.
Can’t fault their customer support but this is now the 6th watch I’ve had..... fingers crossed
