I have done every reset and option available to us through the communities, and my Ionic will not sync. Very frustrating.

Open the Fitbit App. Tap the watch's tile (the picture of your Ionic on the top right corner of the app). Under "Sync" you will find "Sync Now". Tap it to start a sync. official website

Wonder of wonders... I was having the same issue, especially if I let my watch go completely dead before recharge. Sometimes the time would come up wrong. Attempts to connect and sync were not working... problem was I am using VPN through a third party. So my location bounces around the globe from anyone looking in.. turn it off if you have it and it should start working. Make sure your GPS location is turned on either on your phone or computer whatever you are using. Good luck...
P.S. I hate the fact that you have to hunt for a **ahem**ed answer to a problem. Staff at Fitbit are useless.

Mine has had problems syncing for some time. It seems to sync only when it wants to. Sometimes once or twice a day sometimes once in 2-3 days. I do not have it set to the sync all day option. When I try to sync it with my phone it says "no device found". I will check it several hours later or the next day and it has synced at a time long after I manually tried to sync it. When I try to sync it with my laptop it merely tells me when it was previously synced. It always messages my phone when the battery is low so it doesnt sound like a bluetooth issue. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps like switching off/on options, unpairing/pairing but they do nothing. This is my third Ionic - the first 2 were replaced under warranty. Looks like I'm gonna need a 4th.

I have the same issue. Don’t realise Ionic has disconnected til weekly stats show no activity. I try to sync but app can’t find tracker when it’s right next to it and charged. Follow all the suggested steps to sync/connect. Doesn’t work but may find later it has, although rarely. Has a mind of its own.

Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device? The USB port or outlet is faulty. Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger. ... Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable.

If you can usually sync but your Fitbit suddenly refuses to work, it's usually the result of a problem with your wireless connection, so toggling your device's Bluetooth can help. Performing a reset on the Fitbit or the device you're syncing with can also resolve a lot of common issues.
