My fitbit Ionic won't sync

How do I get it to sync my steps it was doing fine just the other day

I did what you suggested ( uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit app), and
Now it works fine. Thanks for the tip!

Fitbit / iPhone: Syncing problems since late december. Only syncs once in 4-5 days. There is a serious issue. Since the problems occur on both platforms android and ios it seems it's a ionic firmware issue?

Found a dumb IT solution that seems to work. 

- Remove Ionic from Fitbit app on both phone and computer (Account>Ionic>remove this device)

- Shut down the pp on the phone (ie,actually shut it down, not just navigate away from it - double tap the home button and swipe up on the app)

- Shut down the phone

- power off the Ionic (left button>settings>about>shutdown)

- turn on the phone

- turn on the Ionic

- open the Fitbit app

And hey presto, the Ionic goes through the set up procedure and the app on the phone asks you to input the 4 digit code from the watch and after a few minutes everything works. If it has been a few days, most data restores; the only data I am missing is the sleep cycles for the days since last sync other than the immediate last night and the daily heart rate date other than for the current day since last sync. All history prior to last sync and all runs since last sync came across on the reload.

I did the factory reset and now it is showing the wrong time.  Nothing is working.

Thanks forum l could not sync or update but read several suggestions from forum and left it spinning all night and it updated appreciate the help!!! Disappointed that clearer instructions weren’t from Fitbit thou. Retired USAF SMSgt, a different generation but I’m trying.
