It's great to have you here @Prior10. Thanks for the details that you've mentioned. I would like you to double check the following requirements in order to make sure you're getting the sleep stages:

- You have the latest version on your Ionic which is 27.32.4.19

- You're using the latest app version as well which is 2.48 for iOS and 2.68 for Android

- If you got to the app and tap on the sleep graph that you received, what message are you seeing?

Keep me posted.

Hey @Prior10! Yes, that's the correct version. It looks like it was released to all users yesterday. So now, the latest version for iOS is 2.48.

Hope everything works properly now. Robot Happy

Hi once again thanks for your help I was wanting to ask if you could resend your original solution with the app version changed to 2.48 so I can mark it as correct solution for you for some reason it only allows me to mark one part of help as a solution which has old app on it or is there away to mark more than one reply as solution i’d Rather mark more detailed reply as solulution rather than just app version if I can mark all reply’s could you let me know how. Sorry to bug you I’m really new to all this but do find help page useful and would like to mark your help and solution thanks for your help once again!

It's great to keep seeing you on the Community @Prior10. In order to keep the Community organize, you can only mark one post as a solution for a thread. I've updated my first post to reflect the correct app version which at the end help you, you can mark that as a solution as it contains all the requirements that a user should check if you're not getting the sleep stages.

Thanks for helping other users as marking posts as solutions is completely useful! Robot Happy

Hi,

Unfortunately it doesn't help me.

I don't see the sleep stages either.

Android app 2.70 (2193270)
Ionic Firmware 27.32.4.19
Samsung Galaxy A5 (Androide 6.0.1, up-to-date, today checked)

Before Ionic, I have had the Charge 2 with the same problem.
But my wife is getting the correct sleep stages. Now she has the Charge 2. 😉

I have problems with my heart: Arrhytmia.
Maybe this is the problem. But other tracker like AppleWatch doesn't have that problem.

I have already done following:
- Restarted Ionic
- Restartet Smartphone
- Disconected Bluetooth and connected again.

Still not solved.
Fitbit-Support can't help until know.

I like the Ionic and I didn't want to change to another tracker.

Any idea here what I can do?

Also it isn't possible to see how accurate the heart rate is. No detailed heart rate graphic available in app or dashboard.
But there are apps for android available, but not for Ionic. 😞

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Mark

End!Now free time!

Hi, fortunately I got it back to normal with sleep stages in the following
day. Not sure how it was resolved at back end.

This happened to me!

This is an example that works perfectly on June 3rd : https://imgur.com/N4xNqDX

This is an example that didn't work last night on June 5th : https://imgur.com/HeAbL19

Why I have no stage tracking from last night?

Thank you!

I haven't got detailed sleep statistics for the past five nights! Nothing has changed the way I wear Ionic.

As the sleep statistics are analyzed on Fitbit servers I believe this is an issue on the serverside. Maybe something to do with the new firmware update? Fitbit just don't want to admit this. Fitbit support is useless just giving the same troubleshooting tips to try to fix this like restart Ionic, wear it tighter and higher up in the wrist, etc.

I am getting really tired with the Ionic constantly failing on some feature. Just waiting for a new suitable watch from Garmin/Suunto/Polar and I am out of Fitbit world for good!

So, when you didn't change something than it is a software problem.

You can always try to restart.

Maybe this helps.

Sometimes not, you should ask Fitbit support.

I miss sleep stages since March and support is not able to help. 😞

I just bought Fitbit Ionic 4 days ago and I did wear it when I go to bed because I wanna see my sleep stage but the watch only worked for 1 night, another 2 nights didn’t show any result of sleep stage. I did restart my device but still doesn’t work. Anyone can advise me please as The main reason I choose this watch because of this function.

thx

Go to the Settings app, scroll down, and make sure Heart Rate is on. If that's on, Make sure when you sleep, the watch is secured to your wrist. If that doesn't work, do a factory reset.

I can't record my sleep on my ionic

Best Answer

Hi @3Goofygrandma - Please explain with more detail. Is your app showing no sleep at all? You may want to try changing your settings to "Sensitive". You do that through the settings on your dashboard.

Best Answer

It's great to have you here @3Goofygrandma! Your Ionic will automatically track your sleep, you just need to wear it at night and when your body is completely at rest and unmoving your watch will start recording your sleep. You can learn more about it by checking What should I know about sleep stages?

Just as @Ozzie65 mentioned, if you can provide me with more details about your watch not tracking sleep, this will help me to provide you with the correct troubleshoot.
