My first nights sleep came with a graph showing rem light sleep and deep sleep my next 2 nights just show a block saying sleep/awake/restless not much I can see with that I’ve checked beneath the sleep app doesn’t tell me why I’ve changed to less dom arm as suggested that didn’t work should I leave on Dom arm which app is set up for. Tried help manual nothing in there this is becoming an uninteresting app which is a shame because as well as aiding weight loss the reason for getting was register sleep as well as excercse due to tiredness after sleeping can anyone help please sorry such a long inquiry I tend to do this any help greatly appreciated thank you 🙏

Hey mine won't show my sleep data for the past two plus weeks either- I've restarted it, wear it on my non dominant wrist, have tried regular and sensitive sleep detectors... it had worked perfectly

Same here! I am missing detailed sleep stages as well. They just stopped working at the start of June. I haven't changed the way I wear or use Ionic so I heavily suspect a fault on Fitbit servers where sleep statistics are analyzed.
Very annoying as sleep statistics is one of the few good things in Fitbit products!!

Hey Everyone! I appreciate that you've followed the procedure I posted above as well for the extra details that you mentioned.
I would like you to make sure that you're getting a solid heart rate reading , since sleep stages requires consistent HR. Also, double check that your watches are charged up.
If you keep having this issue, let me know I'll be happy to continue assisting you.

I notice I'm not getting heart rate reading at night. Battery life still above 60%. I'm wearing tight enough for HR reading before I sleep. Have follow your steps but my Fitbit still don't work.

It's great to see you around @BallymenaBob, @Metroace and @Ochikawa. Thank you for getting back and for letting me know that you're getting consistent heart rate. I've shared this information with my team as soon as I have updates, I'll let you know.
In the meantime, just make sure you've followed and tried the steps I mentioned before.
Catch you later!

Same issue here. Got my Ionic 4 days ago. Sleep info for the 1st day and then nothing.
So frustrating as this was one of the main reason I bought this watch

SilviaFitbit can you provide any update on this issue? Recently I got two nights where it recorded sleep stages but it has reverted again to not recording stages. In my case, it is recording my heartbeat throughout the night every night but sleep stages is VERY intermittent and has been since early June.

The error must be on server side, because no sleep stages since March, new Android Fitbit app 2.74.1 didn't solve the problem nor older versions.
Also no sleep stages when I used only Windows 10 + app.
Until March I have had sleep stages!
Fitbit support sold me long time ago that there is a problem and engineers are working on it.
Sorry, and feel free to delete my posting, but I can't see a solution.
Good thing is for some people the Ionic is working 100%.
But not for me.
Unfortunately Fitbit is the only one with very detailed sleep stages.
But I believe I will never see the sleep stages. To much time wasted!
Very frustrating!

The problem has not been solved indeed for most people here.
I did some tests on my side. I have the Charge 2 model. It is not working if :
- I don't have, at least more than 30% battery.
- It is also not working if I have less than 3 hours of sleep. If I take a short nap, it is not working.
- Finally, it is not working if I start a sleeping activity before. If I'm going to sleep without starting the sleeping activity, it works perfectly.

Hi,
maybe you can try clock face "Heart Beats" for test and you can also see the HRV.
Only in a timeframe of 30 minutes, but available.
You can check if you have always a heartbeat.
Or you can use the app HR Graph.
Unfortunately no save option, but you can take a picture.
Abd you can see, when you have no data. When you charge it! 😉
Hopefully Fitbit provides a bugfix soon.

Thanks for the tip on the battery. It's hard to believe that this problem showed up many months ago and still has not been fixed. It's been so widespread. Shame on Fitbit. I just gave up on the sleep stages a while ago. Going to try your advice tonite.

@Mark2018I create a Custom Activity on the PC... After syncing it's then available on the Phone.. You can't create the activity on the phone. There are reported instances where the created Activity isn't being seen on the phone..
When you tap on the Exercise Tile on the phone, then the Stop Watch you can enter that Custom Name and fill out the data points and Log it..
It's then best to go back to the PC and view the graph through your Activity log because it's more accurate.. You can tap on the logged exercise on the phone but it's too bloggy there..
Here is an example from my last nights sleep record. I selected a 20 minute section to examine my lower HR.. My RHR is 52.... Today I'm getting about 8 HR points/minute... A few weeks ago I was getting 24 HR points/minute and yesterday I noticed, 32 HR points/minute. So expect that variation when you anlayse your HR.. I have an occasional skipped heart beat with a couple of catch ups and with my low HR I can't detect that. All pssed by the specialists....

Colin, your suggestion can't help.
Just correct algorithm.
Never solved.
So why should I buy Fitbit? Will never happen again. To much chances without solution.
That's why I ride now a horse from another company!
I wish you all the best!
