In last 2 months, I have got detailed sleep data only twice. I am close to believing that moving from Blaze to Ionic was a grave mistake.. Never had any issue with my Blaze.. I walk almost the same distance everyday and yet i fall short of my goals.. Highly disappointed in Ionic...

For ionic heart rate settings are not shown under settings in the app, my wife has a Blaze an d yes there is it shown, can be off, on or auto.

On the watch i can set heart beat on or off.

So please where can i say on  for heart rate concerning an Ionic watch

Hello @PDBaba and @Bahappy1, it's good to see you around in the forums.

@PDBaba, before considering other options, please confirm if you've checked the information provided here on why you may not be getting detailed sleep data or sleep stages on a specific day. Regarding the data not being accuracy, or what you mentioned about not reaching your goals, could you please provide more details? What goals are you having trouble with? What exactly have you experienced?

@Bahappy1, that's correct, this is handled directly from the Ionic, to manage the basic settings including brightness, heart rate, and paired Bluetooth devices directly on your watch. Open the Settings app on your Ionic and tap a setting to adjust it (in this case Heart Rate). You can swipe up to see the full list of settings.

I hope this helps, keep me posted.

Hello @DavideFitbit. Thank you for replying. I was using Blaze and I never had any issue. One fine day I had brain fade and I decided to go for Ionic. Ever since, i have trouble getting sleep stages and detailed information. Nothing has changed - my sleeping time, sleeping postures, etc. etc. Only change has been that i moved/downgraded from Blaze to Ionic. I have looked for any/every possible post on this issue. At least I am not alone on this one.

On the goals - many a times it's not recording the steps properly. Blaze always counted more steps than my Apple Watch (yes i checked this while wearing both). Now Ionic records way less than apple. I keep missing my hourly stand goal too, although I know that i did get up and walked around more than 250 steps. The list goes on and on.

@Kraftygirl Lol! I had a hearty laugh while reading that. If we need to log sleep hours manually then we just download any app and do it. Why throw money down the drain buying Ionic. Whole reason i stick to Fitbit is for this sleep feature. For everything else there's Apple Watch.

Never had any issue with my Blaze. I kick myself almost everyday for downgrading to Ionic by paying way more. Not worth it.

Hello @Kraftygirl@PDBaba, and thank you for the replay. I'm sorry to see that you continue to experience some trouble with the sleep accuracy.

@Kraftygirl, I've gone ahead and sent your information to the Customer Support team for further assistance with this.

@PDBaba, also thank you for the details, I've been informed that you already have a case created with the Support team and they're providing you assistance with this. You should be getting a reply soon.

I hope everything goes well.

Yes indeed , the help from the servicedesk didnot help at all, yes restart blabla and in the end blaming me instead of the Ionic, other tracker (JawBone Up3) had no issue at all ever.

Update: Did not do the trick, and also a factory reset brought nothing. So simply said the watch doesnot do what it should do.

Has anyone from the early posts got things working? I’m going on two weeks with no luck. I’m not going to restore reboot, wear tighter, etc. anymore. Getting really old with same suggestions that don’t work over and over.

I have had no meaningful advice from FitBit and my Ionic is still not recording sleep stages. I firmly believe that because they marked this as solved that they are no longer paying any attention to our additional posts and hope that we go away.

I have just given up on sleep stages and I’m beginning to question the rest of my ionic measurements as well

When my sleep stages first stopped I sent them screen shots of my basic sleep plus shots of my heart rate which showed the ionic had been detecting my heart rate all night. I was told that my missing sleep stages were because the ionic couldn’t detect my heart rate consistently. If that’s the case and the heart rate graph shows a consistent recording all day, then does it also follow that all my exercise reports on calories etc which rely on heart rate are also unreliable.

Very disappointed with Fitbit. I have had one for years and got one of the first ionic and everything worked perfectly at first. No idea what’s been happening in the past year

You may all wish to post on a new forum thread which I have started here https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Still-not-getting-sleep-stages/m-p/2997577#M72396

And I see by doing a simple search that there are loads of questions about sleep stages and you still have no satisfactory solution.

I had suggested to you that your product is not fit for purpose and you brushed me off.

I second that, this is unacceptable. 7 months with no solution is beyond ridiculous, you guys just want users to give up and accept the fact. This needs to be recalled or provide refunds, that is $300 down the drain.

Hey there @Bahappy1! Thanks for getting back. I highly recommend to continue the communication via email. The solution and tips that our Customer Service will provide are based on the details that you provide to them.

Hey there @Fadi214@BallymenaBob@Metroace@Lazywalker! Thank you for continue providing your feedback and comments. Currently, I don't have any news about this being a bug. However, you may want to confirm you have all the requirements that can help to show sleep stages as normal.

- You have the latest version of your Ionic which is 32.12.19

- You're running the latest version of your app

If after confirming this, you're still not receiving sleep stages. Please go to your app and tap on the actual sleep graph to see if you get any message and share it with me.

I have the latest version of software and like everyone else I have applied all recommendations, and still no sleep stages.

Same as everyone else

@SilviaFitbit It would still be useful if you could remove the solved marker from this thread as it is not solved.

My Ionic is showing as Version 32.10.20 and does not offer me any updates to the version you mention. My iOs App is up to date. I have auto update set up for my iOs Apps.

My sleep stages have not recorded at all for weeks. Here is a screen shot:

Here is proof that my Ionic records my heart rate throughout the night:

You have to go back this far for when I last got sleep stages every night. It was around this time back in June that you solved another problem to do with recording of meals and I suggest an unintended consequence took place around then.
