That’s my experience as well. I was asked to try more and more strange ideas. It seemed that there was no idea of how to diagnose an issue and I was never given any response when I queried things or asked whether anyone else had a similar issue

Hi!
I have discovered a strange solution to this problem. At least it works for me with my Alta and IOS app... 😜
I "rage-deleted" (😝) an entry being sick of sleep stages not working, but then I thought "guess I should add the sleep again just to at least keep track of how many hours I sleep".
Low and behold; as I re-entered the sleep period, the detailed sleep stages magically appeared! 😀💤
I tried this just now even with a sleep period as far back as September 5th, and even that came up with detailed sleep stages when I re-entered it! 👍🏼😄

I can report that your solution does not work on Apple iOS devices.

I can see by the amount of complaints that this issue is a known issue and FITBIT continues to advertise and sell this tracker with the sleep stages. I feel like this is Theft by deception. They tell us this Ionic comes with this program and charges each one of us 299.00. Well its partial truth, the app is on the watch but it doesn't work!! They are stealing our money by deceiving us.....I am truly furious with this company.

Hello,
May I ask you if you have a long good night sleep or if you wake up a lot; walk around, stay awake for long lapses?
I have the same issue. After exchanging the watch three times and after having tried all the troubleshootings, I believe there are no solutions.
Up to this date, there are no watches, even the more expensive, that will be able to record an irregular sleep. The reason is simple: sleep is detected from least possible pulse variations and body movements.
All resettings, change of settings, etc are useless.
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Comalito.

My detailed sleep stages showed up using the following method:
1. Take not of basic log. (Sleep begin / Wake Up)
2. Delete basic log.
3. Manually log sleep time.
Works on Android.

Hey guys!
On android, I just deleted all logs which were not showing me the sleeping stages, then put them manually. Just press "log sleep" and set time and date manyally.
Make screenshot of older logs, just to know when you went to sleep.
So i just did that.
Maybe it helps.

This has actually worked for me for a long time, but today when I tried to fix the two latest sleep logs it no longer did the trick... 😩👎🏼😡
Don't know if there has been an update lately that messed up our little "fix"... 🙁😖

OK... So like I said earlier I thought this no longer worked for me... But weirdly enough, when I tried again this evening, it worked again! 👌🏼😁

My Fitbit ionic is only a month old and it has stopped tracking sleep stages. What can I do to fix this problem?
