I would call support right away. My guess is that you need a new watch.

Does this fix resolve setting up a new device? I still can not set mine up at this time.

My Ionic was acting up for the past few days so I attempted to reset it yesterday. 24 hours later it is still not functioning. It has been trying to update since about 7:30 this morning EST. It is now 11:57pm EST. Can anyone tell me when/if I will be able to use my Ionic again? I am a kg teacher and have used many of its features in the classroom so I feel lost not using it.

Fitbit Update 04/25/18: We have rolled out a fix and all Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic users should now be able to use their devices normally. We will continue to monitor the situation and apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this caused.

Yesterday after like the 12th time ive tried resetting/re-installing everything I put my watch away because it was just to distracting for me to even look at. I took it out now that I read this, that it was fixed... and it was completely dead AGAIN, plugged in right now and as soon as it has enough charge will try to get it working again. I will be back here to let you know how it goes, I am at my wits end for sure though. I have been a loyal fitbit user for years, upgrading devices when I can afford to do so. Ive had 3 or 4 different ones I believe. But I spent well over 300$ for this new Ionic, that has been useless for the last week or so, if this fix doesn't do it I am DONE. I have always stayed with fitbit even when every other device in my family is Apple, iPhone, ipad, nope not me.. ive stuck by fitbit. But this is it, crossing my fingers!

I was already attempting to update my Ionic and it will not complete the update (the bar has been in the same place for about 2 hours). What should I do to get it working again?

I just started to read this thread. My wife had all sorts of problems with syncing and finally sent it back for a replacement which is due here Friday. She went to another brand and gave the Ionic to me.
Many people here wrote they had problems since they upgraded. In case my replacement has an older firmware is there a way to turn down the upgrade when I set up the Ionic?
I don't think so...at least mine wouldn't allow me to do that. I removed the ionic from my account online, and on my APP, reset the watch to factory settings and started from scratch. I was thinking the same exact thing you are, try to NOT update.... When it came time, and it was set up, the App said there was an update to the firmware, I tried to NOT do it, the App then promted me that my watch could not be used until the update was done. I was really really hoping I could get around the issues doing it that way but NOPE.

I have done everything FitBit has said to do and still nothing. I am very annoyed at this along with numerous other customers. I am contemplating sending it back for a refund and changing to the Apple watch!
If you want I have an apple 3 watch that I have not used since I bought the Ionic. Make me an offer.

Hi - I see this says the fitbit ionic has been fixed but I still can't access my apps or anything - specifically the running/GPS app. Is there a reset we're supposed to do?
I have deleted and re-installed the app and turned my fitbit off and on.

Hi Erick, If fix has been applied, then how can we sync watches to Fitbit app, as this was one of the issues. If we cannot sync, how do we apply fix? Thanks Frank
