My Fitbit occasionally drains fully overnight. In normal use I charge it every day while I shower and it's usually in the high 80-low 90 percent range. On five occasions I've checked it and it's at 0%. I can't find any pattern to this. It's often at night while I'm sleeping. (sleep tracking was a big reason for getting Fitbit) I doubt that I'm activating this as I'm very sensitive to light while I'm sleeping.
I've tried the regular troubleshooting tips, including changing to a Fitbit supplied face and doing the factory reset. Nothing stops this occasional problem.

I did that and woke this morning to another fully discharged Ionic. When I went to sleep it was at 92%.

Any chance you left the GPS turned on? That will drain the battery quickly.

Is it possible to have support from the team too cause I have the exact same problem. Going to sleep with battery at 90%... Put it on the table and wake up with 0%!

Hey mate, what happened with your problem finally. I have the same.

I had the problem again. I don't have GPS on, and I don't have Sync all day on. It does seem to happen on days that I use Fitbit Pay. Since Fitbit Pay was the reason I upgraded to the Ionic, that really sucks.

No, but it might be connected to using fitbit pay.

Mine only does it every week or so. Turning it off at night means no sleep tracking. If I'm not getting sleep tracking and not getting Fitbit Pay, then what use is getting the Ionic over a simpler system?

Sorry to join in late but my ionic lost all battery power overnight from a full charge. Charged it again and watched as the power fell to 70% in minutes. Contacted chat line and was advised to use only Fitbit clockface then factory reset and firmware update which has taken all day. Fully charged after all the updates etc and it is still draining fast. Cannot get hold of the Fitbit team at this time will try again tomorrow. Ionic less than a year old.

My 18 month old ionic, which I have had to reset a few times in that times due to occasional glitches has completely spat the dummy out, with regard to battery life... it fully charges fine then drains to dead within 4-5 hours... And now to add insult to injury the HR monitor has packed in also! I have been conversing with the support team for days and days and they just keep repeating the same thing over and over and trying to tell me to update the firmware when it is running the latest one, and no updates are available... I am furious that a £250 watch can be so unreliable, and the support completely useless! I chose the ionic for the multi sports including swimming and the gps, and because I like the Fitbit platform, but this is completely unacceptable and I see many reports of this random battery drain, so there is clearly a problem. I will be sharing my reviews as I find this whole situation completely unacceptable...

Just been on chat with fitbit about my ionic discharging over 2-3 hours and they are sending me a replacement. Persevere. These are great products and I would not be without one.
