Another tiny loss. Will take it and be content though. Lots and lots of Christmas things coming up now and it is going to be hard to stick with it. Its not the food I have to really work but the alcohol. I really do enjoy a few glasses of wine.

Another Wednesday.
Start: 253 lbs
Last Week: 186.6 lbs
This Week: 183.6 lbs
Change: - 3 lbs
Total Loss: - 69.4 lbs
Goal : 125
Made up for last week with this week's loss, which implies that next week will be below average again. My mini goal for this month is to get into 170s. With all the holiday parties coming up, this may be quite challenging. We'll see.
One of the most satisfying things so far, besides actually feeling better and being more fit, is that I no longer need "plus" sizes. My pant size is between 14 and 16. I can squeeze into 14, but if I want to be more comfortable, I should get 16. I need a new pair of jeans badly, but I decided to wait until 14 fits better. I hate belts. Everything else is either a Large or X-Large, depending on brand. It's very tempting to go on a shopping spree, but I have a full wardrobe from before I gained weight. I just need to be patient and buy only the necessities.

I'm not surprised to have not lost more this week. I've had multiple meals out and I'm now into the full cookie ball making swing. I do my best not to pick at what I'm making, but I know I do some. So for the moment I'm looking at maintaining around where I am until Christmas (whichever meal I have with my mother) and then I'm going back to calorie counting for a little while. I was doing well with planning, not counting, but too many other meals made it difficult to keep track (even mentally).

I plan to weigh in every Sunday morning and post it here. This Sunday am my weight was:
200 lbs (12/11/16)

12-12-2016 08:44
Start 265 lbs 09/27/2015

This week 161 12/12/2016

I re-did the math. On Jun 7th I went below 170 and haven't weighed in above. I will call that the start of maintenance and that puts me at 26 weeks maintaining.
I must say, this year's holiday season is feeling more tempting than the last. Last year I was actively losing with a goal of 225 for Christmas with my family. I had a strong focus on that goal and looked past all of the temptations. I am still exercising great control and eating 1/4 or a cookie here and a nibble of bark there but there is some of that stuff in my life most days. I am fighting myself a fair bit but I am still cooking healthy meals and severely restricting my sugar intake. It's obviously working but I am feeling more temptation than I have felt in a while.
Let's get through these holidays without regrets!

@A_LurkerWell I had told you a week or so ago that I was going to come over to this page and start doing my weekly weigh in's, but with all the chaos I never did it. So today I decided I would start this group as well. Thanks for the suggestion on it.
Today is a mild stone for me. I hit my 40 pound loss mark today. I know to some that may seem small, but to me it is huge. I am so excited about it.
Now for my weekly official weigh in: I will copy them from my Thanksgiving to Christmas challenge page..lol. So there are several week of weigh in's.
MY stats
USW - 210 lbs
SW - 210 lbs
10/25/16 - 178.4 lbs

Still inching my way down. It is down though so thats good 🙂
Lots of socialising ahead so a bit of planning will be required to keep losing.

So, it's Wednesday again.
Start: 253 lbs
Last Week: 183.6 lbs
This Week: 181.6 lbs
Change: - 2 lbs
Total Loss: - 71.4 lbs
Goal : 125
Lost exactly average. My expected fluctuation seems to be delayed, so I am willing to bet money next week will be less than 2lbs, probably significantly less. We'll see! So far, there's still a chance that I'll get into 170s by the end of this month. Also, I was able to fit into size 14 jeans comfortably, so I now (finally!) have jeans again.
@PurplePanda79 congrats on your weight loss so far! I look forward to your posts every Sunday 🙂
@tamado holidays are tough! I have a few parties coming up and I plan to let myself have what I want (within reason), so I am prepared to see the scale reflect that. I won't always be able to control the food that I eat if I want to have any semblance of a social life, so this will be good practice. After all, a day of eating more than usual is not going to derail weight loss (or maintenance, in your case) in any meaningful way. Things will average out over the weeks ahead.
@HeartBiller very impressive weight loss! You are doing great!
@Move.It.Move.It let's hope we all survive the holidays without major setbacks!
@A_Lurker looks like you are still losing steadily - way to go!

Okay, perfect example this week of how you can do lots of good but end up going in the wrong direction. I did tons of steps, my eating was mediocre (but not bad) but my weight is still up. I'm not super concerned about this. Yesterday for example I didn't go over calories, however, way too many of them came from cookies. I didn't drink enough water and I didn't get enough sleep yesterday. So, I'm up this week. I'm not likely going to even address it until after Christmas, so be it. I only posted this week to show that even I have a bad week.

Logging back at 160 this week (tied for the lowest I've logged since I started all of this). We had a big turkey dinner at our church yesterday and I managed and planned well. I fasted in the morning knowing I was having a big meal on a low output day. I took lots of veggies and meat, a small portion of dressing (not too small) and then had a small sample plate of a few different desserts. I tried four different things but the largest one was about a one inch slice of pie. All in all, I'm happy. If I can do Christmas dinners like that, enjoy some tastes without going overboard, I am a happy guy.
See you all on boxing day next week... That might not be quite as good.

@SunsetRunner - holidays are now down to two meals for me - Thursday lunch here at work (self serve so no issues there) and a Christmas lunch I'm taking my mother to. It's a set menu (with choices) so it will likely be high calorie but I can adjust for that. My holiday stuff was self-imposed mostly as I baked very large number of cookies and made fudge and bark for the people I work with at the plant. I don't have the exact count here but it was just under 2400 pieces I brought in. It's down to one plate of cookies (I'm assuming the least favourite).

Last weigh-in before all the parties. At this point, my goal is going to be to maintain until after New Year.
Start: 253 lbs
Last Week: 181.6 lbs
This Week: 180.2 lbs
Change: - 1.4 lbs
Total Loss: - 72.8 lbs
Goal : 125
As I predicted last week, today's weigh-in was below average. That's OK, though, because I lost a bit more than average a few weeks ago. It evens out. At this point, it looks like I won't make my goal of getting into 170s before the end of the year. I am missing it by just a hair, so that's not too bad.
I am a bit nervous about the upcoming parties. I decided to let myself enjoy them like I would have before I gained all the weight. That means letting myself have what I want, but not to the point where I start feeling uncomfortably full. So, that's definitely going to be more than what I eat now, especially with all the calorie-dense foods that will inevitably be served. But, this will also be good reminder of what it's like to just maintain my weight. I'm more than halfway to my goal and, eventually, I will be at that point again. We'll see what next week's weigh-in brings!
