@MarilynL Marilyn, Do you have "bookmarks" on your computer or tablet or whatever equipment you are using? I just click on the bookmark community.fitbit.com and then click manage weight and I'm here. I can't imagine all the hoops you need to go through to get here.

Weight this week is exactly 134. So all is good especially as I seem to be eating an inordinate amount of nuts.
I made Tomatillo sauce from scratch the week and it really was tasty. Tonight I plan to have it with a steak and some guacamole and a great green salad.
Best Answer@Julia_G I was eating with restraint. It was just that my weight took a giant leap up in the middle. I go up and down but I think I am doing better. It was 118.8 last Friday so really maybe a pound and a little off. It was a very scary motivating leap up though. Caused me to behave better. 😯
Best Answer@MarilynL Maybe you could google. "How to make a bookmark on (a phone or tablet or whatever you are using). It is amazing what you can find instructions for. I just asked how to use my postal scale. It said, "Don't put any weight on the scale until after you turn it on and the dashes disappear and two zeros appear." Who would have guessed?

Having fun on vacation and it showed a bit; up nearly one pound this week. A few too many beers, I think. Liquid calories, alcohol or not, always seem to push weight up. I’ll try to do a little better the second week.

Best Answer@Baltoscott Since most people eat more on weekends they usually weigh the most on Monday morning. Friday night and all day and Saturday night has that effect. Don't you think Friday morning is more your real weight? When you eat extra calories your body retains more water to process the extra. It is the same as when you go on a new restricted calorie diet and your body dumps the extra water it doesn't need because there is less to process. I don't think you really gained a pound. 😊
Best Answer@Glenda — You make a good point. Usually, my Sunday weigh in (actual) is higher than my Friday (actual) for exactly the reasons you state. Though that was not the case this week, as you can see below. But since I weigh in every morning, I can monitor the moving average calculated by Trendweight, which tends to even out the daily ups and downs.

Friday is my weigh-in day. I weigh 116.4 today. Next week I hope to do lots better. I've done 2 days now with no food at all between meals and only 1 small glass of wine. I was into a terrible habit of munching along the whole day. Too many of anything isn't healthy I'm afraid. (almonds) I've resisted all temptations at the grocery store. It is so much easier to diet in a grocery store for 30 minutes than at home after you buy junk all week, resisting it.
Well done Glenda- at least you went down.
I was 134.4 lbs as usual and thank goodness. I have made an amazing discovery and that is that I can eat as much almond nut butter and almonds or other nuts, as I want, as long as I make sure that when I am full I stop.
Its really interesting to begin going to a new place in my brain that says just eat as you want- no need to diet etc.
That being said, my way of eating has totally changed and I just have said 'no' to sugar in any form including artificial and all honey and syrups etc. so freedom from the sugar monster- = payment of no cakes, candy, pastry etc. But I willingly and happily pay it.
I also have dairy out except for very special occasions as well as all white stuff and grains. So you can understand why nuts, seeds and good fats are permissible 🙂
Different POV thats for sure )
Best Answer@MarilynL Fitbit is like the Drivers license place; no fractions in height. Anyway I weighed 108 for decades and although I weigh less than the majority of the adult population if the U.S. I would like to lose 8 pounds more or even 6. I would like to be 108 or 110 again, at 5'2". I think I can get there if I continue to not eat between meals.

Up another half pound this week, but vacation is over and I’m moving back into my normal eating and workout patterns, to the trend should start back down over the next couple of weeks.
