Not sure if this would help with Gout or not - but I replaced bread with Romaine Lettuce leaves, and cucumbers. Can take the cucumber and cut long ways, scoop out the seeds and add your favorite lunch meat or veggies.
I also made pico and used that as my salad dressing.
Very good healthy alternative

That sounds yummy @KBSparks! I heard cranberries and cranberry juice are also good. (I recently started making cranberry jalapeño salsa. 😋)

Start 29/5/20 - 98.3 kg
Last week 13/6/20 - 94.9 kg
This Week 22/6/20 - 94.0 kg
Weekly loss - 0.9 kg
Total Loss - 4.4 kg
Goal - 80 kg (to get me to a BMI under 25)
Using FitBit Inspire HR (very happy with it so far).
So far I find I can lose about a kg a week without too much hardship - just making sure I watch the calories closely and go for a one hour walk every day possible.

Yours seems to be the last message on this board and I wonder if you can tell me how to add my weight and comments There seems to be no way to join? thanks

@MarilynL Marilyn, I think you just list your starting weight and goals or whatever other people are listing and say you are joining. I doubt anyone is taking registrations or rejecting anyone. They will love your interest and companionship and having something in common with you, ie trying to be a little slimmer or more fit. Now that my Fitbit will not sync with my new computer I may switch and use my rowing machine more. LOL Post something often. It adds lots to a group.

Hi @MarilynL — it took me awhile to figure out how to post, comment, etc, too. If you like a post, or want to encourage someone, you can click ‘Vote’. We used to be able to quote someone, but if you hit reply, and in the Messge box hit @, you will see a pop up list of their name up top and other recent people who posted. Select that person, so they (& everyone else) know(s) you are replying to them, because the messages are chronological order. I hope that makes sense.
I haven’t posted here in awhile, but maybe this is a good time to start back.
My starting weight today: 65 kilos
Good luck!

Hi, @MarilynL @you ARE posting in the group! This is it! Just add your weight here and your goal, and and remarks, and then next week add another post with your latest weight.
You can also reply to others...If you do just type the @ sign. If it is a recent contributor their name will appear in the drop down box. If not, then start typing their username And eventually they should come up for you to select.
As for myself, I have gained about 5 pounds during lockdown so I really ought to post too! I just resolved this morning that I MUST do something about it NOW! (Though I am not good about posting every week, but those who do post every week do really seem to do better...)
This morning’s weight
4 July 2020 : 123.8
Goal weight: 118
Ultimate goal weight 116
I’m going to try narrowing my eating zone to between noon and eight pm. Apparently this is quite healthy and can help with weight loss, because otherwise, since there has been nowhere really to go to get out and about, I have just been snacking all day.

@MarilynL Everyone is talking to you so that should make you feel welcome. It seems a little odd I know but you click reply under any message to make a comment whether you want to reply to that person or not. I COULD go to a high school reunion in September so I need to back track my virus weight gain. I think I'll post here too. There is probably instructions somewhere regarding that note below" View discussion in a popup" Why isn't the discussion just right here. ?? Anyway I weigh 117 today & would like to weigh 110 again for the reunion which is where I was last October. If we go somewhere else maybe we should take all these people back to freeforms.com???

@Glenda I’d love to weigh 117! That would be near perfect for me... I was hoping to see some school friends this September too, for an informal reunion, but I don’t think that will happen now, as I don’t suppose anyone would come...
I am about to blow my day on a burger (all by myself) on the BBQ, but it is the 4th of July after all... Normally I invite friends round - I’m an American living in the UK. We are now allowed 6 guests from different households as long as they stay outside, but the weather is windy and drizzly and chilly, so that ruined that!
Still, I am going to enjoy my solitary burger... One needs treats, too!

@Julia_G I am only 5'1 & 1/2 inches tall. and everyone starts losing muscle when you are about 30 so I should weigh less than the ideal 108 pounds I weighed for decades. 117 isn't very good for me. You wish for a dry sunny day but I checked your temperature this morning as I often do and I envy your temperature of 71 in London since it is 98 hot humid degrees here today in sub tropical South Houston Texas. A cloud would be a good thing.

Hi @MarilynL - as others have said, you can respond to any post. Your response will sort to the bottom of the last page of the thread assuming you are using default settings to view the forums. You can play around with settings if you want, but probably better to stick with the defaults.
Now that this thread is getting a little more action, I think it's time for me to join back in. I've been on an unplanned upward trend for the past 3 months ...
Wrong way!
I used this thread a few years ago to help with accountability for a pretty big drop over six months, and checking in every week also seemed to help with maintenance and a planned increase follow by a decrease as I tried a muscle-building experiment.
So, anyway, my goal this round is a modest drop to 160 lbs over the next couple of months and to keep it there for the rest of the year.
Starting Weight: 163.6 lbs (July 5, 2020)
Goal Weight: 160 lbs
Current Weight: 163.6 lbs

@Baltoscott Can you tell me how to get the most recent post to be visible to begin with rather than something 3 years old. I'm so frustrated with this. I don't know where "settings " that you mentioned can be found.

I clicked on my picture and under that settings I& linear post I marked latest first. But still that 3 year old just appears every time in every form. Fitbit should do b better than this, such a simple thing.

@Glenda -- Bring up the Weekly Weigh In thread and go to the gear icon above the first post -- which in your case is probably the first post from the first page in the thread. Change from "sort newest to oldest" to "sort oldest to newest." The should bring up the most recent page in the thread with the most recent at the top.
You will probably have to close the thread after you change the settings and then open it back up to get it to resort.
I think that process only applies to one thread at a time. If you go to Settings, Community Preferences, Linear Layout, you should choose "Use default (Oldest first)" and check the box that says "Jump to the first unread post in a topic."
