Week 6/8 of maintenance phase (following 12-week fat loss phase), where the goal is to keep the weight between 58 and 59 kg:

Week 0, ending 27-Aug-18: 58.8 kg, 15.2k steps, 3008 cal. -> -0.82 kg

Week 1, ending 3-Sep-18: 58.2 kg, 15.9k steps, 2935 cal. -> -0.64 kg

Week 2, ending 10-Sep-18: 58.0 kg, 16.1k steps, 2844 cal. -> -0.19 kg

Week 3, ending 17-Sep-18: 57.8 kg, 14.2k steps, 2572 cal. -> -0.19 kg

Week 4, ending 24-Sep-18: 58.2 kg, 16.2k steps, 2796 cal. -> +0.34 kg

Week 5, ending 1-Oct-18: 58.2 kg, 15.1k steps, 2722 cal. -> +0.04 kg

Week 6, ending 8-Oct-18: 58.6 kg, 12.4k steps, 2595 cal. -> +0.41 kg

I had to travel out of town for work last week for a couple of days, which meant eating out and sitting all day, hence the jump in weight and lower than usual step count:

2018-10-08_0841.png

I’m still within the maintenance range and I’ve already recovered from the peak caused by the trip. As I explained in another topic, I’m thinking of extending maintenance by a few weeks. This is because body fat % keeps trending down, even though I’m no longer in a deficit:

2018-10-08_0851.png

I’ve now been at or below 13% for 25 consecutive days, which is a record so far. In December 2017, I was at or below 13% for only 8 days. So my idea is to stay at maintenance until BF% bottoms out.

No change since last week, -6.6 lbs since June 10.

Goal Range: 155-165 lbs

Still trying to cut to 155 lbs, but experimenting with "intuitive eating" vs. counting calories, and I upped the level of difficulty by traveling to Kansas this weekend for my High School reunion.  Definitely had a bump up toward the end of the week due to "reunion eating and drinking."  So although I didn't have any weight change Sunday to Sunday, I was up slightly Monday to Monday.  Hopefully that will sort itself out by next "official weigh-in" on Sunday, Oct. 10.

This last week I started cutting back to -750 calories per day deficit. Lost -1.6 pounds for the week. Closing in on losing a total of 50 pounds. Hopefully I will be able to get that by Thanksgiving.

Last week's trip to Chicago wasn't very helpful, gained about a pound for the week. Not too bad considering the amount of calories I consumed! but still pretty much staying on a steady path. Over about 4 weeks of tracking I'm down 4.2 pounds, or just about a pound a week of weight loss. Hoping to keep that going into the holiday season. Wish me luck on that one!

I am super excited about what's happening to my body these last few weeks even though I am not losing weight on the scale. I have dropped an entire dress size!!! I am easily lifting more weight, I am able to up the weight every single workout so far, It feels extremely motivating to see my body get stronger. A few years ago I would have been really disappointed to not see any progress on the scale, but thank goodness I thought to take my measurements also...I am also getting very comfortable with how my body looks naked...all in all very happy with progress made 🙂

Slightly down (-0.2 kg) from last week, still about in the middle of the maintenance range:

Body fat % is still going down, ever so slowly:

Now 32 consecutive days at or below 13%. This is really intriguing.

I lost about a half-pound of weight and .2 pounds of body fat last week. Now down 4.5 pounds over 5 weeks. Also, my trendweight.com body fat readings are telling me things are going in the right direction (down 0.6% overall). Even on the days that I have gained my body fat has either stayed the same or in some cases dropped. Regular running and walking has definitely helped that. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Impressive, Dominique. I was down to about 12% - 13% body fat several years ago when I trained for my first half-marathon and the weight just came off (also about 20 pounds of weight loss). I've never felt better so it's my goal to get back to something similar. I'm just under 19% right now, but am moving in the right direction. Keep up the good work.

Well, I just came back from a week with Princess Cruises and the fine dining and the buffet and thankfully I didn't gain that much weight.  I eat until I'm full and balanced.  I had some treats like ice cream, chocolate eclairs, cheese cakes and a nice big steak.  I thought I'm going to get really heavy with all the excess calories which I did put on, but was surprised that I gained only about 1lb or within the 142lb maintenance weight guideline.   I continually weight train 2x a week using Ted Naiman's complete muscle failure training and saw a few others doing something similar to what I'm doing.  Cardio was mostly walking, achieving about 20,000 steps on a few days.

Before the cruise = 141.8lb

After the cruise = 143.6lb

Waist line still stays the same.

Start weight 160 kg (25st 2lbs)
Last time (in late 2016) 135kg (21st 5lbs)
Now 106kg (16st 10.5lbs)

Loss to date 53kg (8 stone 5.5lbs!)
Current goal 100kg (15st 7lbs)

I've kinda been really lazy about updating this thread.. infact I found my last post was in 2016.. I've come a long way since then and I'm really close to my goal! I'm planning to go further and maybe it was a bit big of a goal to start with but I'm really shocked I'm really almost there. There was a set back with a long holiday to the US where I gained back 2 stone... but I'm really nearly there.
