Hi! I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support. I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs. My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.
Anyone?

90 pounds is awesome! I just started Weight Watchers last week so it's encouraging to here the combination has worked for you. Hopefully it'll be what I need! Thanks!

Thank you for the invitation into your group and Fall/Winter Challenge. I would love to join. What do I do next to get my picture up on your board to be in the competition? I just got my fitbit on September 14 and took a few days to figure it all out. I am loving it and finding it very motivating!
I am 58 years old, 43 more pounds to lose to my goal of 145. I have five grandchildren ranging in ages from 3 up to 7, so they keep me hopping. Want to be around to dance at all of their weddings!

Hi I am also new to fitbit forum but have had my fitbit for a few months. Like others my job has me sitting at my desk most of the day. By the time I get home I am mentally exhausted and head for the couch. I know I need to get up and get moving. Help!

Take the stairs at work, walk at lunch. Get up and move every hour for circulation and sanity.
Little voices inside often lie. Work out before going home.

I usually take my dogs for a walk around my block - twice is about 1.4 miles - I get those steps in before I head to work - As I work in a casino, I can get 12K - 15K steps a day. I have lost 15lbs in 3 months and need another 15 to go - logging all my food has helped a lot! Good luck to all - the holidays are approaching - hoping we can all stick to it!! 🙂

Hi Julie, I'm walking about the same amount and I live in Reno. Where are you? I would love to have a walking buddy. I jog at 5:30 am and walk at 5 pm, same route in South Reno with my dog.

I'm in Golden, Colorado - but glad we are at least fitbit buddies - otherwise, I would definitely be your walking buddy! 🙂

I am a 52 year old woman in need of remaining active for my health. It makes me feel great (when I do it consistently). I am interested in joining a Fitbit group. I'd like to participate in Fitbit Challenges. I find that I do better when I'm involved in one. Does this group have Challenges?

Hi Jules, It rained over the weekend, so we actually have gotten more this month than average. Average for Oct is 1/2 inch.
I had the rain coat on the dog but her trouble is that she is small and the under side and legs get wet from splashing.
This morning I had ice on the windshield but the wipers scraped it off. And it was 40 something out too! I'm out before dawn so who knows what happened in the night.
