Hi everyone! I'm also new! I love the community aspect to Fitbit! I also got a Flex for Christmas and so far I am loving it. I have achieved my 10,000 steps each day so far (except the partial day of Xmas)

In my career, about 2 1/2 days I am super active and I am on my feet a lot and I was wondering how it would clock that, also I am getting back into my workouts and they are not step based so they don't go on my 'active time' I am still figuring all of that out. I am also using My Fitness Pal.

I am new to fitbit.  I had a lot of trouble initially because the orginal fitbit battery was defective. This was determined after a live chat on line with a rep.  Before my chat I was trying to resolve the issue and came across some conflicting info. regarding wearing the fitbit in the shower.  Can it be worn in the shower?

I'm new too Smiley LOLhello to everyone. My lovely husband bought me a fitbit for Christmas after I'd enjoyed doing the Global Corporate Challenge with work. I'm loving it so far so a big hi from Yorkshire, England.

Learning to like exercise. Though sometimes it's a slog.

Be sure to say which Fitbit u have. There are several. Also if you are having sync issues say android windows or iOS spps. Thanks. I have the Fitbit surge syncing to iOS. The sinking is a little flaky sometimes but it does work. As far as what to do with the watch, not much I need to do. Just wear it and it tells you steps And heart rate. The fun part is exploring with the phone app will show you and what the PC dashboard will show you. Be sure to to discover the types of workouts that are available and select the appropriate work out for the activity. The appropriate workout will determine the GPS functionality on the surge

Hey guys,

All of your messages sound exactly like me. I am in the same boat as all of you! I have done a juice fast in the past and I absolutley loved it! I want to do a 14 day cleanse starting January 1st. If anyone has ever thought to do it, they should! Yes you feel like crap the first few days but after that you feel like you are on top of the world.

For those who say I can't give up sweets or after a week I give up on exercise, do not let your mind tell you that! If you knew me people know me as the candy queen. I LOVE candy. I rather eat that than real food. I used to have the same mindset. I would do well for 3 days and then all of a sudden have thoughts saying "you can't reach your weight, you are fat forever". Once my mind started to tell me I couldn't reach my goals I would grab the candy and binge! How did I feel after? AWFUL! I decided right after Thanksgiving I couldn't live this way anymore. I was miserable and wouldn't go out because I was embarassed with my weight. Instead of thinking my diet has to be 100 percent perfect or there is no point, I changed it to I am eating better so I can't be too hard on myself.

Each and everyday just remember why you are doing it and it becomes a lot easier! Slow and steady is always the best! I always expected results instantly, but now I realize I have been killing my body for the last 5 years that it will take time to get where I want to be.

If any of you need any help feel free to add me! If you are doubting yourself or don't have motivation I am always here for you! You can message me anytime!.
