@D-tail  Check out the groups in the app. I'm sure there are some you can connect with. Wow 100 Miles! I have a friend that does this and I'm inspired. I Actually follow her for water food etc.

Just 75 miles away from San Francisco, CA,  I want to loose at least 10 pounds. I will do biking and sometimes walking with my wife.  I have been very involved in playing sports at least 14 years basketball, play soccer when young. and I like golf. My guilty pleasure Ice cream. Retired, couple of days ago started a part time Bookkeeping job. Like to be active.

You will love retirement. People said I would be bored but its been 3 years and I haven't been bored yet 😂😁

Hi there, I am very fare from San Francisco in the middle of nowhere right now....I think we something in common that is I am not bored too....my secret for that is to be busy from the minute I open my eyes to the time I close them.....

I'm a male age 81.  I have been very active all my life and consider myself to be in excellent physical condition  (49-52 on the cardio fitness scale).  My major activity is biking.  I have biked 5 centuries in the last 5 years and usually bike 65-100 miles per weed.  Up until last weed my resting heart has been consistently between 52 and 56.   About two weeks ago my resting heart rate started inching up 3 to 4 points per day and leveled off at 80.  It has been 79 for the last couple of days.  Any Ideas on what may be the cause.  The only thing different is heat and humidity.     Cris

@Crisman:  Welcome! I would think heat would have something to do with it. But you might want to talk to your Dr.

I think at this age you better to check with your medic and if it's normal then you can carry on otherwise plan differently...sorry to say that, but I am just trying to be more in the safe side of things....

By the way, i am very proud of you that you are active at this age...

Thanks AiDZ, I’ve already started the cardiologist route.  Sonogram yesterday.  Possible Afib but more tests coming.  Meanwhile only early morning short rides.  Crisman

First of all great that you are OK and cool that you did some checks. Also, if you have someone to go with for your rides (companion) it will be more safe ato least this days while waiting for more test. Be safe please, thanks.

I am in Lanarkshire in Scotland.

Current goal - to take daily walks and lose weight!

Stay fit by regular walking and saying active.

Motivation - healthier lifestyle (former very keen runner)

Favorite guilty pleasure - Energy Drinks and watching funny cat videos.
