Hello, I'm in the midwest and I am focusing on lifestyle changes. I want better nutrition and exercises that help me to lose weight and build up my core. I have health issues that sometimes prevent me from exercising as much as I would like.

I would ask this question in the board of what tracker you are using. This thread is about people welcoming others.

Hello Everyone!

Dave here from beautiful Washington state.  Former Marine just trying to stay in some sort of shape and not hurt myself doing it.  Haha 

 

Plenty of cardio chasing the 3-year old around all day,  looking to hit the weights again!  

 

Really looking for some motivation, though.  Busy dad, but really need a support group to get me going when I have that free hour or two.  That's what I'm here for!  😀

Welcome @DavidV79  You might want to check out the groups that are in the Fitbit app. There a a ton of them out there. I'm sure you can find one that you will like

Hello!

I am located in Hueytown, Alabama

Yesterday I joined a gym and they give you a free consultation with a trainer as a sign-on bonus. I had to tap out after only 15 minutes and I feel awful about how far I've gotten from my fitness goals. I would like to get down to 150 lbs again, which is about 35 lbs from where I'm sitting now. I'm depressed about my self-image and I want to improve how I feel about myself more than anything. I have used food as a substitute since I have been in Recovery (2 years strong!) and I'm FED UP. 

I enjoy yoga and recently invested in a yoga swing and I want to be a flexible agile beauty again!

I am motivated by continuing my sobriety journey by cutting out things that are bad for me (like DONUTS). I also am motivated my swimsuits I can no longer fit into. 

My favorite guilty pleasure is ALL THE FOODS but especially stuffed crust pizza and Lofthouse cookies. 

Please friend me and keep me on track. I don't want to give up on my weight loss journey ever again,

Hi! I'm currently struggling to get back to my "Ideal" weight as well. I
had done really good a few years ago but last year my mom got seriously ill
and passed away in July. I lost myself in food and gained back 40 of the
hard lost pounds. I'm working to get back to where I was and I'm currently
trying a 30 day challenge that includes push ups, crunches, squats, planks,
walking and eating vegan and already lost 20 pounds in the first 20 days.
The best part is I'm not really having any cravings. Tracking my food
intake using the fitbit app makes it easy to stay in a caloric deficit!

Current fitness goal is to loose 15lbs
Currently in MD. Favorite guilty pleasure is ice cream and chocolate and
food. What is keeping me motivated is my back not hurting and working out
is keeping my anxiety down through this craziness.

I live in Central Kentucky (Bluegrass country) and home of UK Wildcats fans. I've been retired a little over 2 years. I enjoy gardening, swimming (100 laps 2-3 times a week), and spending time with grandkids. I go to the gym too, but have kinda been leaning toward swimming since Covid-19.

  3. How do you like to stay fit? I workout at the gym, but really prefer swimming. Try to get in 100 laps (that is 2500 yards) 2-3 times a week.
  4. What motivates you? My Mom has dementia and I try to eat healthy and exercise regularly so my children may have an easier time when I'm her age (90) than I've had.
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure. Playing video games I guess.
