  1. Where in the world are you?
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal?
  3. How do you like to stay fit?
  4. What motivates you?
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure

Thank you for the wonderful welcome. You sound like you are familiar with Guatemala.  So far we have only hiked part way up Santa Maria to see the active volcano Santiaguito in Quetzaltenango.  (Xela).  We have hiked a couple of the Mountain areas in the Department of San Marcos as we used to live there.  The Astillero in San Marcos is a little over 10,000 ft and Ixtajel (sp) is almost 11,000 ft.  My goal is in January to climb Tajamulo.  This is the tallest mountain or volcano in Central America, just under 14,000 ft.  We have visited Antigua a few times and have witnesses the Volcano Fuego going off and have seen a couple of others from the distance but have not hiked any of them.  Also in Panajachel, there are three dormant volcanos that I have not had the opportunity to hike as of yet.

Thanks for getting back to us @SunsetRunner and welcome @RashK😀

@SunsetRunner, yes, I'm very familiar with Guatemala. Wow! You really have a big goal. Tajumulco is a hard volcano I've heard. I tried with Pacaya and it was a good experience and we were able to watch the lava running, my boot lost the sole and we had to tie it with the lace. After that, I got diagnosed with MS and stopped doing those activities.

You can share pictures of your hiking activities if you like. I would love looking at them.

Hi  @RashK, it's nice seeing you around.

See you later.

Andrea Fitbit, I am sorry to hear you can no longer hike.  Right now, no one is hiking Pacaya, it has been extremely active.  I would love to show you some photos but when I try to upload them it said I did not have permission to upload images.  Not sure how to fix that.

Thanks for getting back to us and for your comments @SunsetRunner.

Do the pictures that have a special format? We can’t accept photos in a compressed format, such a  zip, rar, 7z, or tgz. Are you following the instructions of this post?

I hope you  can add pictures and share your experiences.

Have a lovely day.

Andrea, the photos are simple .jpg and within the acceptable size limits.  I was simply given the message that I don't have permission to upload photos.  I will give it another try. This is the message exactly "You do not have permission to upload images."
