I keep getting requests to add people (men) and then I get "I'm drawn to you cosmically" and "Let's chat on another app!" I've blocked these guys, but now I won't add anyone for fear of the same thing. How can I add people without getting weirdos?

first off i am sorry for anyone getting harassed on a fitbit site while using it for fitness. jokingly let me say ....lol but if you switch your picture to pikachu you will get all the pokemon go players who also have a fitbit. the people with the black band and white red black spot gotcha band lol and pokemon go helps me get my steps in with the family. anyone can add me if they want though .... marzo123abc on fitbit or pokemon go lol

How would i do this
Best AnswerSelect their profile using your mobile app,
Then select the drop down menu at the top right (three dots).
Then select "Block User".
That's how I do it, and frankly almost all of my blocks are for women.
I’m so happy I found this! I added people to do challenges with and I keep getting creepy guys (usually divorced military single dads) constantly messaging me and if I don’t respond they ask if they did something wrong.
Yes you did. 1) Happy taken by an amazing guy 2) I’m here to get my steps in!
this happened a lot on words with friends, too.

I'm on Fitbit now, and I'm not a creeper, we can be friends. I had seven (!) dudes try to chat me up today. Lawdy, give me the patience.
I have a few men left on my friends list and only 1 of them has ever spoken to me (and it's all been fitbit or talking about goals etc so I'm fine with this sort of conversation).
When I first joined I didn't know any better and just accepted friend requests from everyone because my theory was "This is fitbit right?! What could go wrong?!"
I've learnt now to check their average steps and also what groups they are in (most creepers/scammers are in EVERY single public group)
However if I'm having a boring or uneventful day I will accept the requests and when the stupid talk starts I tell them how I can only download new apps via wifi and right now i'm stuck in a petrol station toilet with diarrhea so can't talk to them on whatever app they suggest.
And when they say we can text instead and ask for my phone number I tell them I can't see what they wrote because the smell is so bad it's making my eyes water.
Seriously though, what idiot thinks they will get a phone number after saying "Hello, how are you?"
I've had men on IG try to wrangle me into a committed, long-distance relationship after what equates to a five minute conversation. I'm pretty sure they were trying to get me emotionally attached so they could ask for money, but still...
Hello my dear beautiful friend how are you doing, and how is everything going over there

Best AnswerWhat part of “Fitbit is NOT a dating app” don’t you understand? Apparently, the “NOT” part! 😝
I have been having the same problem with men trying to get me on another site to “talk better”. Their English is broken, they’re from all over, One guy is an “orthopedic surgeon” but lives in Baghdad, Iraq and texts all the time- RED flags :triangular_flag:!i!
I thought this was an encouragement site for people trying to work out and lose weight?
@Strength123,
1. Don’t accept friend requests from those with A) no recent activity, B) who just joined yesterday, & C) have hundreds of friends
2. If you have accepted someone who is sending inappropriate DMs, you can unfriend them - just go to their profile page & tap the 3 dots in the upper right, & select “remove this friend”. They will not be able to direct message you.
3. If they are so obnoxious as to continue to make inappropriate comments on your posts, then select “block”. It’s amazing how this will make them disappear!
And NEVER give anyone your phone #, email, or social media contact info unless you really want them in your life 😎
I know exactly what you mean, I just press ignore an remove as a friend, I ain't got no time for msg or dating as I'm with someone but I know fitbit isn't a dating app but some people believe it is its beyond me. An it's annoying I go on there to encourage others an vice versa to motivate me an to do challenges, not to date complete weirdos from around the world lol, some of them dnt even own a fitbit watch wat a joke
