Seniors

Hi,  I am 65 years old.  I am looking for friends that are retired and just starting out.  I just got my FitBit for Christmas, as so far loving it.  I would love to have some friends in my age group and fitness level to work with and help to keep me motivated.

il--Nice to hear from you.  Mornings are a little cooler-75 this morning.  Surely will get better in a few weeks.  I will be 80 on the 23rd of October.  I have not run a 1/2 marathon in 5 years because of a stroke.  I really believe I can do one.  I have signed up for one on the 13th and 28th of October.  The second one is in Houston with my daughter.  The first one is in Bryan, Texas just to get an idea of how Houston might go.  I drag my feet way to much.  Have fallen a few  times and broken my hand a couple of times trying to jog.  I know I look weird but I now wear a boxing glove to hopefully protect my hand.  I am ready for race day.

Have a good week.

My daughter fastens hers to her bra strap if holding grocery cart etc. Maybe try that when on your treadmill.

Glad you got out today.  Hope lunch was better than a sandwich at home.  You deserve it.

What kind of charger are you using? I had another fitness device, & I was told to use a low voltage charger. Unfortunately the charger I was using from my phone was a high voltage one, & damaged the battery. I believe it is a 5 volt charger that I am using, & I have not any problems.

I have a fitbit flex. It was the first one they made and the battery fits in the band. I would like to get another one. What type do you have. I’m 75 and have not been active lately due to some health issues and would like to get back to it.

I have the flex 2 with the battery in strap as it records my swimming lengths. When Ivreplace it I will get a cheaper one with a visual display though as it is so easy and no need for watch or phone while running or walking.

Wow. Impressed. I am on second week of couch to 5k then gall bladder played up. Start again next week hopefully.

Think it must be nearly three years old. I also noticed a cheap charger was ineffective. Stick to one supplied with the fitbit. .

I got the charger with my Fitbit Flex 2 and it is just charged with a USB
port - my clock has two ports so I plug it in there. Hope that helps
