I can't believe the One is discontinued!!!! I really need another One since I mistakenly flushed it down the toilet when trying to hook it onto my sweatpants. Anyone know why it's no longer available??

I don’t agree with that assumption. It’s obvious that there are many of us who really love the One and were eagerly awaiting the next generation of it. Many folks have spoken up that they do not want to wear a wrist band. The Zip has few features and hasn’t gotten great reviews here, whereas the One is very well-liked.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would have bought a Charge at full price if I could have figured out a way to use it like a One. I have no trouble ignoring the features I don't care about, but there's no good way to just put the working part of it in my pocket and have it at all protected like the One. As a result I spent a couple hours putting a new battery in my One over the weekend - when I would have rather given Fitbit my money. I just didn't have a way to do it that worked for me.

I purchased the Alta and then purchased a silicone holder from eBay and it works great. Had the Alta in one pocket and the ONE in the other pocket and there was no difference in the step count. It works for me and a good alternative to not having to wear it on the wrist. Hope this helps all the “ONERS” out there

Exactly - or else I would have done that myself!

Great option except for not counting stairs. Thanks.

Many more men than you think use the One over the watch (you just can't see it because it's not on their wrist!). Many guys don't wear much jewelry or don't like the looks of the watch or don't care about fads, they prefer to pay for what works for them. For me, I put it in you pocket with my keys and no one ever sees it. It does a great job collecting the data I want throughout the day.

I think Fitbit really has screwed up discontinuing the One. It has been more accurate than my Charge, it has outlasted my Charge by 3 years and it is my tracker of choice. A lot of the time I don't even want something on my wrist and the Zip is a joke. I really think they need to bring back the One or lose customers to other tracker companies who have more convenient products than the wrist ones they offer or more useful ones than the Zip.

My fear is that FitBit considers the "ONE" a liability because it is so reliable. They are accurate and last for years which means you aren't buying another FitBit product. Since technology has become so tied to marketing, you can expect them to discontinue support and their software will eventually become incompatible with the "ONE" (hence you're forced to buy another product).
Unfortunately, companies like FitBit start out with an ethical vision and commitment and then start to lose their way when they become successful. They end up aspiring to be like the big companies (like Apple) and begin behaving like them as well. Lets hope they come back to listening to their customers more than their shareholders.

I think the ONE is a great business model. I've personally had to buy 3 of them over the last 5 years because I've lost two! They don't clip onto my belt very well and if I've put them in pocket, I've washed them. With that kind of design, I would have probably bought a ONE every couple of years as a replacement to a lost/broken One. That said, I obviously prefer the ONE. When I lose the one I have now, I'll buy something other than Fitbit, unfortunately.

Searched five different stores yesterday hoping to find a One. My sister and husband want the One and I would buy another as a back-up. I lost 20 pounds with my Fitbit One and I don't want a wrist or pendant tracker. There are so many examples of "new designs" being worse that the original product. Please bring back the Fitbit One.

Hi Everyone - thank you for your feedback on the One. Please see this thread for our statement on the One, there you can also join the conversation the One availability and alternative ideas. Since this is a duplicate thread, I will be closing it for further responses.
