Fitbit One rapid battery drain

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fibit One has suddenly begun to lose battery power rapidly. It lasts maybe a couple of days on a full charge.

Today when I plugged it in to charge, I checked it after five minutes and it had gone from empty to full. I can't believe that that is correct.

I noticed that the Fitbit App updated on 28/4/17 and am now wondering if the battery drain is real or is being 'misreported' by the app. This would seem to tie in with the sudden change of battery status I have experinced. Prior to this it would run quite happily for 7-10 days before I recharged it (well before it reached critical status).

Has anyone else had similar issues?

I'm experiencing the same thing, however attributed it to its age (3+ years old) - sounds like it may not be age-related.

@pdagrl Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with One draining its battery quickly.

It's been a long time since you have your tracker! It could be that the battery is not working as good as when it was new. However, please feel free to check these tips to maximize its battery power.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Same with me - battery shows almost no charge in just one day, and Saturday lost a bunch of steps during a competition.  What’s the deal?

Fortunately, my Fitbit One-now three years old-has maintained solid battery
performance since the earlier problems I was having. However, I too lament
the discontinuance of the One model. Wrist based devices are not as
accurate a measurer of steps.

Soon after my 6/18 post, the One would no longer charge at all.  Fortunately, I purchased a new unit some time ago as a backup, so will enjoy it as long as it lasts.

For those of us who prefer non-wrist devices, the Fitbit Zip is an
alternative with the demise of the Fitbit One.

My One has started experiencing rapid battery drain. This is my second tracker in three years; the first one died for no reason and now this one won't go for more than five days without suddenly going to low battery and then zero within 12 hours. (Prior to that, I could get at least a day or two out of a low battery before it went to empty; now it completely shuts down once the battery dies and I have to reset it.)
