Today I have to say goodbye to my Fitbit One. I want to thank Fitbit for this awesome tracker. I think my One has run its course. It's too bad that the One is no longer available. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. The Fitbit Inspire is not an option for me. My one lasted me 6 years.
24,840,324 steps, 35209 floors for a total of 11,222 miles. RIP my friend.
Best Answer@ASweetz 2 days is inconvenient but at least it's still working! I've got a similar situation on my Surge but I'm not replacing the battery in that until it stops charging. 8-years is impressive! Mine lasted over 4 (2013 to 2017) then died, I'd repaired it last year. Many people's ones have died by now. They've discontinued this version. I'm very happy with my One using the replacement battery as it's been getting around 2 weeks between charges. Cheers!
I meant to add this syncing tip that helps me....
On your app (I use an Android phone), press and hold the widget to display the app options; you should see choices like: uninstall, force stop, disable.
Choose disable, then force stop. Then re-open the app. You shouldn't need to uninstall, but of course that could work. I generally don't need do that however. The app-fix is usually my last ditch fix to get my sync to "un-stupid" itself and sync my data on The One device. Usually resyncing with the dongle to my laptop with my dashboard open, is enough. But over the past couple of days, I was at risk of missing 2-3 days of steps data. The app-fix is my go-to in these situations. Hope this is helpful!!
Best AnswerHi @Ron55 a friend has been getting Zip cases from Amazon as Fitbit doesn't have them. Just did a quick look and you can find quite a few of the One covers for sale in a variety of colors. Can't hurt to check them out.
Best Answer😭😭😭 my One has offically died. It has given me more than 7 yrs of accounting for where I have been and account for my steps and advised I have at least walked the wall of China. Sucks that there isn't another clip on available as I am not interested in a watch. Goodbye fitbit until I can work on my saudering skills. Why why why? You have gone too soon
Best AnswerI'm so sorry! Mine will be 6 years old in April. I don't understand why FitBit doesn't bring back the One unless it's because it lasts so long. They got a reliable one...why not use it?? OH! To make more money????
@ASweetz the Inspire has an optional clip and it's similar to the One. It doesn't have an altimeter, so it can't recognize flights of stairs. It's the closest to the One that Fitbit has.
Best AnswerHey there, I had success two years ago on Amazon to find covers for The One device. Although this item is not available on Amazon now (I just checked) - perhaps a similar naming search can yield the right cover. I ordered a multi color 3-pk, and today have only used one of them without any problems. Honestly these covers are more sturdy and don't loosen at the bottom, as the original device covers seemed to do. Good Luck 🙂

Anyone have experience with any other devices that have a good vibration alarm .
Best AnswerI will be watching to see if anyone has an option. After seven years my One just died one day.
niw that China is reopening a little bit, I am considering replacing the battery. I have to find the post- was it in this forum?
So far, I am just using my old Polar watch and missing my One- the alarm, the steps, the stairs, the quirky little messages, the durability... Maybe when all this awfulness recedes, someone will listen to us and a One Two will rise from the ashes. Phoenix One?:)
Best Answer@JEH1 Yes it is. I've not heard anything about Fitbit re-releasing the one but I'm sure a lot of people would like to learn this to be true! I'd definitely recommend replacing the battery in your already out of warranty tracker, it's easy to do and the instructions are in this actual thread as well as a new one a user created with his step by step instructions. Mine sat dead in a drawer for a year before I'd considered installing a replacement and it's been rocking great ever since. FYI there are batteries on eBay as of the time of this posting both in China and in the states, claiming 2-3 day shipping.
