Needing to replace my Fitbit One

My body chemistry doesn’t work with wearing a Fitbit on my wrist. My Fitbit one stopped working. It’s no longer in production.  Any suggestions?

Hi @Realtor1. A couple suggestions:

  - You may want to buy a Flex 2. The dongle comes out of the band and you can put it in a clip or a pendant

  - Or, you can even put it in an ankle band

Thank you
The flex 2 might work!

@Realtor1 I moved your post to the One board for better visibility. I think @SunsetRunner's suggestion to try Flex 2 is a great idea. I hope it works out.

Thank you for the recommendation. I purchased the Flex 2. Wishing it had a clip available!

There are third party clips available, @Realtor1.  Here is an example.

@Realtor1 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! I'm glad to read you bought a Flex 2. That's a great tracker!

Please check the options that @SunsetRunner shared in her post. Just notice that Fitbit doesn't support that product.

Also, please feel free to check the different Flex 2 accessories Fitbit has to offer. You will find pendants and bangles.

I love the One, and am very worried when I will have to replace it (hopefully a long time from now, when the One is brought back? *hint hint*).  So I'd like to get a backup, but I'm very confused.  I've seen Flex 2 compared to it, but it doesn't show actual steps which I don't like at all (and its hard to check the steps on my phone).  So which is closest to the One with these features: don't have to wear it on the wrist (removable somehow even if it disables features, as long as it will count steps in my pocket I'm good), shows actual steps, and displays time.  I like the flights and distance features, but they don't matter as much, neither does heart rate.  I appreciate the help.

@Rexy48 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for your interest in getting a back up device.

Currently, the only Fitbit device that is removable is the Flex 2 as you can purchase a pendant for it. The other devices are wrist based. I recommend checking this page to compare their features so you can get what is most appropriate for what you are looking for.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I agree. Sellers on ebay are selling the one for double the price and fitbit does not sell the clip anymore.

I have another suggestion, based on your specifications, @Rexy48. Check out the Alta HR. The band is easily removed to allow you to place it in a pocket or ankle band. It shows time, steps, flights and more. I’ve found it does a good job of counting steps when in my side pocket. It will not accurately record other features such as HR, but you mentioned that is not important to you. You can purchase the Alta HR from a retailer with a good return policy ... try it out ... and see what you think. I believe you may be happily surprised.

Happy holidays!

How long will it last... will fitbit continue to support it?  As evidenced by previous models i’m not convinced.  I’m pretty fed up with the support this company provides to the users of it’s products when the only response is to “buy a more expensive model”. I think they should take the customers comments more seriously.

Does the Fitbit One battery “die”?  If so how long will it last?  If it does die what are we to do?
