One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

This is really upsetting to me. I will probably look to other brands as I strongly prefer a clip, and the zip just doesn’t cut it for me. I need the stair counter. (How can that be the only clip now?!?)

Well, I wrote to James Park, Fitbit's president and CEO. We'll see if I get a response.

I was looking at Garmins, and (unless I'm missing something) they don't seem to offer a clip-on, either. I don't get it. It should be obvious that there are a lot of people who can't or won't wear a wrist tracker. Why isn't someone grabbing that share of the market?

Good luck. I hope you succeed

I have written to Park and never even got an acknowledgment. Hope he is different for you

I also love my Fitbit One and have the Ionic as well. I find the One to be more accurate than the Ionic and frequently wear the One when using one of my many watches for work and other occasions. I am a fan of the One and it is a shame that Fitbit has chosen to basically ignore us. You might want to check out the Garmin Vivoki. It is not cheap but is an alternative. I do not think that it counts flights of stairs but I was told long ago by Fitbit that the stair count is not accurate but the step count is. Good Luck to all of us that love their One.

The Garmin Vivoki looks interesting!

What I don’t understand is how the prices can vary so. Here in The Netherlands I found them for sale for as low as 35 euro’s compared to the Garmin site where they are going for 199 euro’s. Another seller had them for 133 euro’s. (In pink)

Bring the Fitbit One back please

So disappointing!  I have a Zip but it's not the same as the One.  I could wear the One when I went shopping and it counts steps whether or not I'm pushing a shopping cart.  I can't believe this is discontinued!

Best Answer

Sorry you feel that way.  You are going to lose a large share of your business.  There are lots of people like myself who do not want to wear wrist trackers.  FitBit One is an excellent product.  You need to bring it back and if you must discontinue one then let it be the ZIP.  It doesn't light up and is hard to work and see also doesn't do stairs etc....  Bring back the One or improved model!

That's absurd. We're customers. Why shouldn't we contact the CEO of the company?

Thanks for posting this. While it helps the disappointed One users
understand the company's goals, it doesn't really address the issue of how
important it is for Fitbit--any company, really--to diversify their
offerings. They're putting all their eggs in the wrist basket, and that
doesn't make sense to me, given the volume of responses to letting the One
go.

I agree! I want a One because I have my own watches to wear and i want to keep track of stairs (I hope to climb to the moon). I loved the one while it worked for me but I tried others - the charge was nice because it kept track of heart rate but the little piece on the band that keeps it on your wrist broke off and it was heck keep it on. It would come off while I was asleep, it would snag and come off while I was walking along and then it came apart so I bought that skinny one that I am using now - it doen't track stairs. I have couple nifty watches that I want to wear and so I want to get away from the watch-band type of FitBit. Please bring back the FitBit One or refurbish the one I have!!!!!

I agree.  Get rid of the Zip.  It's worthless.  If the companies plan is to put all their effort into a smart watch they will lose me as a customer.  They think they will maximize profits because it will be expensive.  If I wanted a smart watch I'd buy Apple.  They've been at it longer.  I absolutely don't want a wrist tracker at all so it that becomes the only choice I won't wear a tracker

I agree will go to the apple watch.  Already had 9 of my Fitbit friends switch when they started having issues with their One.

I agree will go to the apple watch.  Already had 9 of my Fitbit friends switch when they started having issues with their One. Some tried some of the Fitbit wearables and said they weren't as accurate as the One or no stairs.  They all seem happy with Apple.
