One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

May I ask why you will not bring back the One? You keep the Zip no one wants. Every wrist Fitbit counts extra steps. Instead of suggesting restarting, dominant or non-dominant arm, just make a clip for all of them. If really interested in heart rate interchange between wrist and clip. I bought the Ionic, not accurate at all. Much better if carry in pocket for step accuracy. Works for floors, just like the One.  Way too expensive to get irritated with it everyday. It is way too big, hit it into things.  I set for treadmill, but does not count steps if need to hold rail. I have MS so balance can be a problem. So I stuck in my belt and it worked. Which is where the clip would solve the problem.

Hopefully you care what your customers think. The solution to me would be clips for all models or just bring back the One! Thanks for reading.

Well, we can hope that they're reading. But do they care what we want? I'm afraid that I see no evidence of that.

But we can hope that, at some point, they'll decide to pay attention to their faithful customers. ("Streamlining" their products, indeed. There's nothing streamlined about the Zip.)

The one is definitely not waterproof

I've had my one for 8 yrs.  It went through the wash multiple times.  Unfortunately, this time it went through the dryer as well.  It is dead and I have no way to replace it without being price gouged.  I have the flex 2 which consistently undercounts my steps, regardless of the settings. I don't mean by a few hundred, I've had inconsistencies of a few thousand.  It is obnoxious to get one and off with the provided band, the battery hardly lasts a few days, and it does not count stairs which has been a big thing for me lately as I am a chronic pain sufferer.  Seeing how many stairs I do in a day can tell me if it was a good or bad day.  Seeing how much sleep I get is a blessing when talking to the many doctors (the one seems to log way more disturbances than the flex).

I feel like fitbit has discontinued the one because they were too good.  If you have a product that consistently does its job, can take a beating, and does not fall behind in technology, the company ends up not making any money.  It may be time for me to end my fitbit obsession.

That's crazy that you mentioned having the Flex 2. I was thinking of buying it to go with my One that I still have.  You don't like your Flex 2?

Also, I was thinking that you should contact Customer Support. They're awesome and may offer you a discount toward a replacement for your One if you tell them that you can't afford a new Fitbit. That's what they did for me.

I wish you success!

Fitbit will let you have another One only if you purchased your old one within the last 12 months. Otherwise, you're out of luck.

That isn't necessarily the case. My One was several years out of warranty, and they offered me a discount. I argued that it had been working well until their update, so they had a duty to put me back in the position I was in before the update. It wasn't the One that failed, they broke it.

They sent me a replacement.

When did they send you a replacement? Because I was just told by customer service two days ago that they have no stock of the One anymore. I had asked if I could purchase a replacement from them when I lost my old One last week. I ended up buying a Flex 2 instead, but would prefer to have the One.

They've always been great to me. Always giving me a discount no matter how long I've had my Fitbit.

I had asked about maybe a discount on the pendant so that I didn't have to wear my Flex 2 around my wrist, but they refused. Customer Service really was of no help to me at all.

Dear Monitor,

From the hundreds, possible thousands of posts on these Community Boards, you guys are not getting it:  We don't want a wrist unit and we want stairs counted. We want our One back!  Many, many people do not want to, or can't, wear a wrist unit.  The zip is absolute garbage.  If you had to discontinue one of your two clip devices, why didn't you drop the zip and keep the One?  This is the poorest customer service I have ever seen.  You had a strong backing of customer who support and help build your company with our purchases, and you betrayed us.

I was also told One no longer in stock at Fitbit

Maybe some aspiring young rising star at Fitbit will see that the One is
going for well over market price on eBay and make her/his mark by bringing
back the One!!
I thought I had permanly lost my One and I was surprised at the gratitude I
felt when I heard it buzzing at me from under a piece of furniture at 6:30
am!!!!
Do any of the other Fitbit devices inspire this kind of loyalty?
My first fitbit was a Flex which was recalled because it caused allergies-
so happy to have my One!!

Maybe if we all just keep on they will- they certainly came through with
the Sleep Ap after they trashed it.

Mine was replaced in early December - it doesn't surprise me that they've run out of stock, given the number of people complaining that the update broke their product.

I've owned three One's since 2012. I lost my last unit this week.

FitBit: please bring it back!

Really? Customer service did nothing of the sort for me. Stuck will paying the going rate for the Flex 2. Did ask for a discount for the pendant (because I don't want to wear it on my wrist), but they wouldn't budge. Not impressed. 😠  If I have to wear something on my wrist, I'll be switching to Apple (when I can afford it) no way I'm giving Fitbit any more money (especially when their ionic is almost as pricey as an apple watch.)

I don't want to do the Zip that can go into my pocket, nor can I wear my wrist one at work. They say it is a safety hazard.

The zip is a joke! I have an Apple watch (can't wear at work)  still bought the fit bits to be in challenges with my friends. So I guess my fun with all of them will come to an end... 😞

I don't understand why of all of  you think the One is the one to go. I loved being able to reach into my pocket and see where I was and all the other things I looked at. Like I said the Zip is a joke and should have been the one to go. But I guess that is how you hook people in since it is cheap so then they will upgrade.

So sad you don't listen.

Think about first before you lose $$$$$ and switch to something else. I thought Misfit was my answer and sunk $$$ into the battery operated thing. I’ll see if I can find a buyer on Ebay.

Thats where I found my new Fit Bit and won with a bid of $100 and that included the One,the case and the charger!! I told you that, right??

Good luck and consider the Fit Bit program which really beats out everybody (I think)
