Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting. 

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

Makes me wonder!! I also noticed the One would record less steps when I wore it on my under garments as opposed to my pocket. So I do agree with you.

That's a nice pipe-dream.  But, it's very clear to me that Fitbit execs don't read the posts in their forums.  They have people to do that for them.  And, either those people aren't passing along good, honest summaries of what they see in these forums, or the Fitbit execs Just Don't Care that they're alienating a substantial segment of the fitness tracker market.

Fitbit tried to talk smack about Apple. "Apple Watches are now the best-selling wearable smart device in the world, while Fitbit’s struggles have sent its stock price plunging 75% since its 2015 IPO. Falling sales and tough competition swung it from a 2015 net profit of $105 million to a 2017 net loss of $277 million.

As someone who works full time in Agriculture, I'm really disappointed that the One has been discontinued. I don't even pay more than $10 for a regular watch because they wear out so fast for me. I'm always putting my hands in tight places, and my wrists are always bouncing off of gates, panels, saddles, etc. Not to mention mud, grease, and the like. I can afford to replace a cheap wrist watch (that I can wash with soap and water), but I can't afford to replace a wrist tracker all the time, and I really don't forsee myself paying the extra money to downgrade to the Zip. I really appreciate my Fitbit, but if I can't get a One, I will probably have to find either an alternative brand of tracker that meets my needs, or just not use anything at all. 😞

Not sure they would. Fitbit is stopping support for Pebble (which they acquired a couple of years ago) in June.

I have used my One for 3+ years with absolutely no problems. I misplaced it recently and looked at buying another.  Very disappointed to see that it is gone.  Have purchased an Alta to wear in clothing with pockets.  The band irritates my wrist and the tap screen takes four or six...or eight taps. Annoying.  Am not at all happy with the Alta.

I just went to the Fitbit Facebook page to lobby for a Back By Popular

worth it- maybe they read more Facebook than Forums?

I love it for the step accuracy, the sleep tracking and the alarm,but I
wear a Polar A300 for working out. When my One dues I will buy a Polar that
tracks sleep- Polar has been a reliable responsive company for years.

That is sad to hear. I am not sure about their customer base but I sure wish someone will bring back the One- judging from available there is so little competition!!

Actually, mine went through a washing machine cycle a few months ago, when I forgot and left it clipped to my nightgown. I retrieved it midway through the dryer cycle, thinking it would be toast. Go know....it worked perfectly, except that it thought its trip through the washer was 29 flights of stairs! Never have known what to make of that, but it's kept me laughing ever since.

I am also looking for alternatives and because Fitbit changed the sleep Ap for the One and because they refuse to listen to the voices here, ( I am not sure they read the forums so I wrote to their Facebook page) I looked at Polar and they do have a little tracker that attaches to your shoe and could be put into a pocket- but it won't track sleep.

When my One dies, I might buy a Polar A370 but that won't work for you. I just wish someone with tech experience would buy the technology from Fitbit and make a One!!

This is the Vivofit 3 vs One.

I have been comparing for a couple of weeks now. 

The step count for the One always seems to be greater than the Vivofit 3. Pictured is the comparison of the two after a 5.7 mile morning walk and 1 hour short of leaving work for the day.

It has be off as much as 700 steps when taking them both off for the night. (not a deal breaker for me) I believe that some may be a result of set up. One measure stride length in inches, Vivofit 3 measures it in feet. I do believe that the Vivofit 3 may be more accurate than the One. One will measure steps when I move it of of the charger and into the clip, when picking it up to clip it to my pocket, etc. Vivofit 3 only seems to measure when actually moving. Vivofit 3 does everything that the One does except stair count. It comes as a wrist based tracker, and seemed to be in lockstep with my Fitbit Ionic when comparing the two but is also designed to go into a clip that is not aftermarket and designed by Garmin (see post 604 for additional pictures) The Vivofit 3 is not rechargeable, it is waterproof and can be used for swimming, it does track sleep and you are also able to pair it with a chest strap heart rate monitor. All in all I have been very pleased with the Vivofit 3 and it will likely become my go to "clip-on" tracker when my One dies, unless Fitbit offers a viable replacement.
